Now I LIKE That!

Postby willie robertson on Sun Nov 13, 2011 2:09 pm

Hello Fellow BN'rker's

I am curious, I have come across some great post here in the BN forum and was wondering, is there anyway to "LIKE" a particular post.

Is there a way to, such as the like feature on FB post, is it a way to do it here in the BN on the forum post and comments :?:

I realize there is a similar feature available here when someone writes an article or a blog, but is there a faeture like that, no pun intended, but that would be great to be able to like a forum post prior to commenting on it.

You know, have the like button right there somewhere in the post so all's you'd have to do is click it if you like it, then comment as usual.

Not sure if this has already been brought up here anywhere, if so, my apologies.

That maybe a good idea to have. But isn't it noncommunicational to just click a 'like' button'?
We are a business oriented community where we get a chance to like an article and speak our minds individually and comment as we see it. If you like an article a particular author write just say so and be done with it.
Would you prefer to see charactors like: :D 8-)  and :!:  and the 'like button'? Or do you like to see professional form of writing and communicating that everybody could understand.
We are at a level nowadays to be able to reach the less techni-person as well as the very well tech person. I have always learned to keep it simple so everybody could understand in the simplest terms.
That's just my opinion on it.

Thanks Mario,

I was just asking, I personally like, there's the word again, but I like how you are able to like a comment or post on FB, as well as comment on it. ;)

Some folk will just like a post and never even leave a comment.

Just a thought. :)

I guess the quote button can work the same though, copy the quote then comment.

I think that will happen. Plus, it be really great, if we can for example, be able to kind of press a button for favourite topics we liked. So we press like but it can also save it as a favourite too.

Then whenever we want to go back to it, that topic is at our personal profile somewhere as favourite.

There's so many great articles, that it's not easy to sometimes find. So sometimes it's copy, paste on word to read later.

I do not believe at this time that there is a way to "like" a forum post with the exception of going in and commenting. I do think that in a way it would be nice to have something to be able to keep tabs on your favorite topics. I know that admin sends me an email when a new topic is posted, so that has been working well for me so far. I also know that if you look at your own profile, it will show your activity and show where you have posted. But I think that's the only way at least at this time to be able tell where you've been. I also "like" the idea of somehow being able to add Kudos to a topic besides the Quote Button.
