OK so I wanted to get some feedback from those of you that are active video marketers
on what you think about these syndication services.

I'm a long time Traffic Geyser and Tube Mogul user and recently started using PixelPipe.

  • What has your experience been like with either one?
  • Care to share some results? (generic is fine)
  • Have you had any negative experiences with one or the other?
  • Do you have a preference and why?

PixelPipe vs. Tube Mogul vs. Traffic Geyser ... Let the throw down begin!

Thanks for playing!

I think Tubemogul would be great to start out for newbies and then maybe use Traffic Geyser for the experienced video marketer. Pixelpipe never heard of but will def check it out.

Thnx Daniel.
Yeah TubeMogul is excellent. I like their reporting. For a free service it's pretty good.
PixelPipe is pretty sick - definitely check it out.

There's also the launch of Network Waves from our very own Lilach Bullock - can't wait to try it.

I looked into Tube Mogul. It stated that "you will not upload any multi-level marketing, affiliate marketing, network marketing, home-based business, cash gifting, phishing, pornographic or copyrighted third-party content. Any users uploading videos that a reasonable person would consider to be a scam will be banned."

Are they that strict where we can not use it for home-based businesses?

Thanks!

I've used all three - here are my experiences:

TubeMogul:
- free for up to 10 or so video sharing sites.
- I like the interface, and the fact that you can send the videos to Yahoo & iTunes feeds via a number of methods
- A couple of my video accounts got suspended quite early on - most probably because I didn't read the T&C's thoroughly.

Pixelpipe:
- Content media routing on steroids.
- Still not fully taking advantage of it, though I have recently installed the PixelPipe integration plugin for my Nokia N900, so I might start vlogging using the phone & routing via Pixelpipe
- free & very comprehensive syndication

TrafficGeyser:
- Awesome syndication for videos (30+ sites), blog posts, articles, podcasts, social bookmarking and more.
- Mike Koenigs has really thought hugely about the service he offers, and it's well worth the money
- I love the fact that you can customize & save your settings as templates for future use
- Best support for marketers and video marketers

Out of the 3, I'll be running some tests this year on Pixelpipe & TrafficGeyser. I've stopped using TubeMogul for the present, as Traffic Geyser is more configurable, which I prefer.

Lastly, a tip that I picked up from Jeff Johnson - I always upload my YouTube version of my videos manually to YT, rather than using a syndication tool, for two reasons:

1) I want the YT version to appear first, so it gets the best chance of being the one that ranks on Google
2) There's much less risk of the YT account being wiped.

Cheers,

Dez.
