Traffic exchange really work?

Postby Eldy voon on Sun Aug 15, 2010 1:33 am

I'm not very happy when I review a system so call very good system recommend to use traffic exchange service to promote affiliate..

Then I wonder so much but still I try it.. my time wasted about half hour.. the next day I check the state of my site. There are people come to my site but the conversation rate is extream low ~
You spend big then earn quite huge, that's logic and make sense, that'll not surprise me at all ; but I invest small, earn unlimited, will that gonna get your attention ?

Hello

Traffic exchanges can work but overall they aren't the best way to advertise for sure. You can waste a lot of time with this method. I currently use only one traffic exchange. I have had some good results surprisingly mostly because it's well populated and very active. It's also a great way to connect with others.

I have had some limited results with Trafficswarm, but overall I would spend time on another marketing strategy. They take up to much time that you could have used writing article, doing videos, or another type of strategy.

Yeah traffic exchange are not that really effective these days. Use social media instead of you have more time than money.

5-6 years ago I spent some time building DOWNLINES in three traffic exchange programs - all which required manual surf to earn credits. Auto surf sites can be operated on complete autopilot with no human involved so they are absolutely, 100% worthless. However, if you can build a team of active surfers in a manual surf program it can be another marketing tool to help promote your product, service or opportunity.

Today, I enjoy over 10,000 free hits to my web sites per month... am able to send a solo email to over 6,000 people once per week... and present over 20k banner/text ad impressions a month. Results? Nothing to write home about but we do get leads and a few sales.

If I were to build out another traffic exchange today I would focus the first 2-3 months on building a downline of surfers earning credits for you. Most sites require you manually surf at least 15 sites per day. Use a macro and you don't have to be present. Join 2-3 program and cross promote for a downline. Once you have free credits available after a few months - then use it to promote your other programs.

I used to use TrafficSwarm and got very little return. With this traffic exchange your ad is shown very little unless you have 10,000 credits or more. Think about the time you put in with all the surfing and how many times did you actually click on someone's ad? If you didn't click on someone's ad, do you really think someone is going to click on yours? Just food for thought.

I think Google is clever enough to detect this and penalize too.

I know some people have had success, but my impression is that most of the success comes from selling the traffic exchange packages to others.

I agree that if you have more time than money, social media, video marketing, and article marketing are probably a better use of your time.

It does work, but not for all types or it depends of what you are promoting. In my experience, TEs does not work well with a product like EBOOK, membership site and tangible products. TE users are people looking for a free way to promote their websites or affiliate links. So what I promote are affiliate products targeted to what these people needs:

1) Free or Cheap Advertising Service
2) Advertising Softwares (SEO programs with free trial)
3) CPA offers (careful on this one, you must target GEO location properly. Not all TEs supports this)

Also, it depends on the popularity of the TE program you are joining. Some of the TE sites my credits are very slowly getting used up. For a few days, it only decremented a few points, meaning none are surfing that much. So you must research first.

So far the best one I've known is Easyhits4u and they rock! Though the waiting is 20 secs at 1:1 ratio. And they got at the moment around 350,000 active surfers.

P.S. For those with website made for Adsense, I do not recommend TE. Believe me, your Adsense account would be banned before you know it. NEVER do it.
