Since last month I used the service of Twiends to give new Facebook fanpages a kickstart and the first few hundred fans.

But they stopped this service because of troubles with Facebook.

Do you know a service that still works after the actual changes on Facebook fanpages?

You asked for free fans right?

I have generated over 3k fans on my page and some of the ways I have done in the past is by making sure my fan page link is on my blog in the sidebar, in all my signatures, and at the bottom of my blog posts.

Also there are a ton of free ways to get fans just by using facebook and doing it by not asking for the fans. One tip is to change your persona to your fan page and go out and like other peeps that are similar to what you are doing then just simple interact with their status updates especially when there are a lot of comments already on there. That way all those people who commented before you get notified that you commented. And...if you are engaged with those people who comment and provide good value to raise and interest they will likely come fan your page and check it out.

A few more strategies that work.

Tag your fan page with posts on your profile
Tag your photos with your fan page link.
Use facebook as your fan page and then post relevant content, questions and comments on related fan pages. This works especially well when you post on pages that have a high number of fans.

Paying for fans would def not be effective.

Chances are those fans you pay for are not targetted fans, or not true fans.

These pay sites have people log in, and in order for you to get fans you have to press like on their page etc. Its not effective, and they are not true fans, if I have to click like on a page that has nothing to do with my interests for you to click like on mine and you may not be interested in what I post is ridiculous.

Post stuff that you like to post about and put your fan page link in there, get true fans instead of fake ones.

Expose your fanpage as much as you can. Share it with your list and use it as a signature in forums.
