I expect that if you opened the current list of emails that you have recieved and quickly scanned down the list to decide which ones you was going to read that your selections would be based intially upon the ones where you know the sender and secondly which ones look like they could be worthwhile.
If the email address which you send from is something like billgreene@aol then there will almost certainly be some text in front of it such as healthcapsules@billgreene....(or something like that).
Don't worry I'm getting there..... Now all of my domains are at GoDaddy and I have a few email accounts with them as well so that now (just as an example) with the domain name jimticehurst.com I could put in front of the name support@jimticehurst.com which a person could reply to (if they wanted to) ....
How are the words before the <---->@emailaddress on the recieved email arrived at? any ideas?
Anyway the bottom line is this: just looking down my list of emails I can see that the majority of email address's are very poor in their intial approach and I was wondering if there are guidelines which anyone on here might be aware of to help with the first and most important part of the mail sent? simple as that...
Many thanks, regards Jim T.

Re: A Creating emails Question....
Jim you may want to do some research into Global fields, I think that this may explain how to get what you are looking for. That is if I truly understand the question. lol Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what someone is asking. Not saying that you have not explained it well, but that I may not understand.
I hope that this helps, and if I get the chance I will look into it myself. If you have asked then I'm sure on of my students will be asking, and I try to have the answer. So thanks for the question, it will help me to find the right answer.

Re: A Creating emails Question....
Hi Jim,
You can decide how to name your email address. In the case of Go Daddy you get one free with your domain and more if you buy a package. You can call it "jim@" or "info@" or "support@".
Using your proprietary domain name does show more class but I like the convenience of my gmail account. I simply manage all of my "tom@" email addresses through my gmail account for simplicity.
Hope this helps.

Re: A Creating emails Question....
I would suggest that for every email sent, send one to yourself. Does your own email stands out from the other emails in your inbox? Would it be something that you may want to open first?
Every once and awhile, I get a chance to talk to the people I sent emails to. I get a chance to get a response from a live person and their take on the email. Do a follow up with other emails. This way the reader will become familiar with you and start responding to your email.

Re: A Creating emails Question....
When I first read these responses I more or less agreed with them all. I do have accounts with GoDaddy and I also have email address's linked to those sites.
However having looked at the very formal look of those email pages (they look so pretencious and arrogant to me) that I have never used them.
Yesterday I asked a very simple question to a person who is involved in mlm and the response which I received was very formal and it appeared to be written in a manner which was well above that which it should have been. There was no friendliness or warmth in the email at all and if the sender thought that I would be impressed then I am afraid they are very much mistaken.
In closing: The thoughts that were mentioned and shared on this post came to my mind and I now think and I completely agree that a simple gmail (even if it is forwarded) would win the match every time...
So thank you all for the comments I admit that my thinking on this topic has changed completely, all the best, regards Jim T.
