All The Forum Topics SUCK!!! (really bad)

Postby Mike Morgan on Thu Mar 11, 2010 11:43 am

Yea I said it and this is the most irrelevant post I've ever made, but I could care less.

I have came back & forth to BN over the years and I still see the same crap. Spammers. Newbies. And people who think they're smart. It's mighty funny how some people always has the perfect answer.

I try to do market research in the forums here, and I realized that most everyone here is STUCK.

That's what I've got from my research today - people are procrastinators and are not focused.

Soooo.....if most people here are procrastinators, why not HELP with that problem.

Some of the most IRRELEVANT topics are discussed here. All for someone to get points, or to look like a smarty pants. I got news for some of you - you're wasting time being on this website talking about absolutely nothing!!!

I'm not saying I'm the "Information Guru" that brings miracles to anyone who goes to my website or blog. No. But I know I've been in the "sell stuff online" community for some years and I'm sick and tired of the same crap!!!!

Where are the LEADERS? Where is the value?

Can we get some NEW subjects and not the same ol' boring crap that's not helping anyone. I would be wrong if I used this for a blatant self-promotion, so plz no one reply back asking me why am I not that leader that I'm asking for. Don't reply back telling me to provide the value. Because I already have a STRONG conviction in myself.

But this isn't about me. I started this rant because I see a ton of new members here that are not going to get anywhere if the same stuff keeps going on.

CAN SOMEBODY START DOING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT'S EXPECTED!!!

Ok. I'm done ranting. #thatisall

.

Well why don't you set it off Mike?
What would you like to see discussed here.

I'll admit, there's an overwhelming amount of shite in the forums, and it seems that either the same old topic gets regurgitated over and over ad nauseam ... many days I just don't even bother participating.
But at the same time I have had some great conversations here.

So what do you suggest would be more engaging, thought provoking, "unstuckifying" nonsucky conversation?

I tell you what sucks man, is that picture you have. Why don't you put a real picture of yourself up instead of that thing?

But about the site. There are people here I actually learn from and it's great to come here and get information about this industry.

Yeh I know it's not the only site around like this and I have drifted in & out myself. But there is a lot of good stuff here.

Occasionally I have had a few criticisms to say here myself, but I have always had that mug shot of me there so people can see who I am. You can tell a heck of a lot about a person by a small picture like that and I think that is important.

So... that's my rant.

Irrelevant to who?
If people are talking about it, I'd suggest that maybe THEY are interested.
Besides, it's MY time and I'll waste it however I want.
Say, like replying to this post.

Must be a bummer to suddenly discover that yours isn't the only opinion.

Which is not to say I don't agree with you. In fact, I do.

I know sometimes I just post for fun. I don't learn much about marketing here,
because I've already read Magnetic Sponsoring and that seems to be what everyone
talks about.

But the stuff I do pick up is really good. To me, anyway.

And I enjoyed reading your post and replying to it. I wonder how far it will go.

While I'm wondering, another thought just came to me.
Do you think this post will add to your reputation as someone who can help others
make money online, or detract from it?

Ah Mike. Have you thought of contributing and helping these people grow out of whatever you think they are stuck in? Post a comment and politely show them where their content doesn't make a lot of sense. Post a comment and politely share how you were right there where they are at least once in your life. (I'm assuming you weren't born with your current level of knowledge and had to go through a learning curve)
I agree with you to some extent. You can read someone posturing about how successful they are and other wannabes jump in and leave comments about what a successful leader they are and it's all hot air. Wait, I shouldn't say that. I did read one article where the lady admitted she was not successful. That was awesome.
Rather than complain, if I may suggest to you, help these people with a little guidance, coming from your superior knowledge of the industry. That would provide value and then start posting the "right" way to do something so they will learn.
There is some awesome information on this site and yes, sometimes you have to search for it. But you'll find what you need and where you can help if you approach it right.
To your success,

I have to say that I happen to visit this site multiple times per week (almost daily), yet I rarely make a post or comment. I like to read what I consider relevant, and occasionally will put in my two cents.

For example, recently I asked for help regarding a technical question I had. And, to my amazement (Thank You, Mr. Bravo) 8-) , my question was answered and the exact solution I wanted was provided.
(you can visit at viewtopic.php?f=65&t=21304#p77783)

So, I guess from a personal standpoint, when I find something interesting I choose to engage myself in the discussion. When it isn't compelling enough to warrant that action, then so be it.

Thanks for the info to all who contribute...

Mike Morgan!

Bravo...

Love a person who can say what is on their mind...

Even though...

It won't put them into the popularity pool!

YOU weren't put on this EARTH to please everyONE!

Cheers bro...

And I like your picture!

It's your party and you can say what you want to because...

Quite frankly, people don't have to buy into it and...

Before I begin, I'd just like to tell you guys I'm LMAO.

Alrite - who should I start with...

@Richard: Conversations like this are engaging. I've obviously ruffled some feathers with my "complaint". lol. To be honest, I got the reaction I wanted (and the attention). I've noticed you around here in the forums lately and you seem like a cool guy. In fact, your my newest BN friend...you are my new BN friend now right? Well if you are, I just might start coming back around and "engaging" with you and the rest of the community.

@Greg: Your picture IS more cheesier than mines. You win. Pictures DO tell a heck of alot about a person. lol. Oh and I don't have to "hide" behind a picture (or a computer for that matter). If you'd like me to change my picture...so be it...I'll change it in a few days Mr. Greg Martin.

@Dave: Uuummm.....you look pretty pissed in your picture. Not that anything is wrong with it, it's just that Greg was talking about pictures and all. But anyway, I don't think my post is going to harm my "BN image".

@Joyce: Your such a nice person. So I'm glad you came by. I will take your advice and make more helpful and valuable post... politely (....sometimes).

@Dave: You should really change your (notice my LACK of auto-matic-signature-link-building) attitude buddy. I can get why you don't have one, so you're able to deliver value IN PERSON...and give whatever links you might need to give at that time. Buuuut - from my point of view. Someone might get distracted and randomly click one of my links and subscribe, possibly even buy some stuff. So yea. That's why I use 'em.

@Shelly: THANKS for the support!! This whole post was a test anyway. Wanted to see the reactions. I mean I really did feel that way, but I wanted to see who'd get pissed and who'd admit. And by the looks of things some people did both. lol. See ya around...

@Mark: I've saw the story on that guy before, but I do think it's very inspiring. Thanks for dropping by with some positivity. lol. I'm not a negative person, just testing some things out.

Now I shall address everyone.

@EVERYONE: Thanks for stopping by, thanks for getting pissed at me, thanks for not liking the cartoon version of me and thank you Shelly for the support! lol.

But no seriously - I find it mighty funny that some people agreed with me, but then turned on me at the same time.

As far as popularity, I gave up my shot at Mr. Popular here a while back.

I was a very active member....

Until the day Mike Dillard said this...

Mike was doing a short video promoting some guys Social Media book. They were by water, and the other guy had white hair. In that video he was explaining how to use Social Media for this & that, but then he added that Social Media is a HUGE time waster and people need to stop "hanging around" and get some damn work done! Not sure if he said "damn" but hey - same thing.

Sooooo - I started creating products and content and stopped coming around BN as much.

I kinda wish I would have never left for so long - because...

YES. I'll admit. I DO want to help people. I want to help THOUSANDS of people. (and I will)

When I was an very very active member, I gained alot of knowledge from here. I soaked up all I could and helped everyone that I was able to. I've received numerous messages in my inbox from nice people telling me they like me and my style.

Getting off subject right. Sorry.

I think this is a GREAT website. I think Jason Better (such a cool guy) and the other folks that make this website work are doing an awesome job! The amount of available information here is really slept on. Including mines ;-)

Last thing: It would be really crazy if I thought every single forum post sucked, seeing as how I have 260 post. I'm not up to the 500's like Mr. Greg - and I will bust my butt to get that many post here so people like my picture more.

Hope everyone's having a great day, and remember to save the trees!

Mike,

I would have to agree with you to a large extent. I mean, I agree with Dave that if some one is reading content on here then that content is very relevant to the reader. However, like you, I was initially very active on BN forums but I left for months because I stopped getting as much out of being here because I did start seeing the same topics and questions regurgitated over and over. In other words, the content stopped being relevant to me because I stopped learning and growing from BN.

I just came back today on a whim because I happened to be researching Joe Girard (greatest salesman ever) and a link on Google brought me back to BN.

Go ahead and get the ridicule out of your system about my photo. People keep telling me that I look like I was stoned in the picture, but I promise I was not!
