I have been looking at an opportunity recently thats looks quite interesting (at least it does on the surface) but when I dug a little deeper I got a bit confused so I would like to ask for a few opinions on here.
On their home page they claim that they have 'live training' six times a week. When I inquired about it to the person that pointed me towards the site just said "I stopped listening to that years ago" (she has been with them for three years). When I dug a bit deeper I found that they have just one 'training ' dial in tutorial once a week and that is an old recording and it is out of date anyway.
Basically she lied. Simple as that. I have also tried to ask questions from the company in question but like many of the companies in this line of business they either ignore you (as they have me in this particular case) or they simply refer you back to the person that invited you in the first place (they simply shift the responsibilty away from themselves).
I was angry at first but then I thought "am I wrong?" I mean lets face it the person that I have been dealing with lied and the claims about the company in questions home page are lies as well, I am far from perfect but I don't really want to lie, yes I know that we can dress it up as a politician did in England and say 'if I told an untruth' (yes, he really did say that) and of course Bill Clinton never knew that a blow job was sex (and he was running the country) but still....
And lets face it we watch television most evenings and the commercials are mostly lies as well (as is often the news)...it is so easy to kind of justify things and say "well every body doe's it" but that dosent make it right does it?.
On the other side of the arguement of course I can see things from another point of view, many would argue that people want lies because the truth often hurts too much...we all need to dream...and well maybe... just maybe one day?...
So when does an exageration turn into a lie? and when does that lie become theft? Sorry I am rambling a bit now, but I would appreciate any comments on this topic....(please, just the truth?)...
.....regards Jim T.

I'd say you are looking in all the wrong places Jim. No it is never OK to lie, ever.

Reading your post, obviously, being lied to didn't sit very well with you...
And it SURELY wouldn't sit well with me!
So I'm guessing that being involved with something that started with a lie...
Isn't going to sit right with you either, if you should choose to go down that path. (which I am going to think you're not
)
And I will end with this... one of my favorite quotes...
"My father taught me that reputation, not money, was the most important thing in the world." -- William Rosenburg
PS - The lady who pointed you to this is probably going to grow a REALLY LONG NOSE
