I think you have to give both some of your attention. Its not just mind-set but good practices. While its great to get up early and be focused and driven, if you never take a break, you may be a candidate for some serious health concerns.

I tend to be a bit driven. And pushing away from the computer and phone is something I have to make myself do :)

If one doesn't take necessary stretch walks, and refresh yourself, you find yourself feeling bad by the end of the day. Making sure to drink plenty of water, and getting the proper nutrition is also part of that.

Eat away from the computer, actually sit down at your table, and gaze out at space for a while. There is nothing wrong even with taking a "veg-break" making time to not think and plan but to let it fall out for a while!

That is my two cents!

This topic caught my eye, as I'm very conscious of my body and how it looks and feels. It's not just about how much you weight or how good you look, but about the inner balance of your body. Your body is the temple of your soul and way too many people don't pay any attention to this precious gift. That's why you see so many wealthy and otherwise "successful" people who are overweight, smoke, drink and suffer from illnesses.

So, there shouldn't be an "or" between those two. It shouldn't be a choice. You have to take care of all aspects of your life and you can't compensate one with another. It has to be in balance. You'd love to live as long as possible to enjoy your wealth and the endless possibilities it offers? Well, it's not going to happen if you keep abusing your body and not taking proper care of it.

Get sufficient sleep, drink a lot of water, avoid caffeine, cigarettes, alcohol, sugary and fatty foods and stock up on everything FRESH, like vegetables, fruit, sprouts, seeds, nuts and healthy grains. :) Your body will be immensely grateful. :)

Welcome here Anne. Your post stood out with the inclusion of the "inner balance" of your body. Wealth is one part of the whole, health is another part. There's spiritual, physical, financial and emotional (family/friends) components. They all must be a part of the same pie and they have to be appropriately balanced or the "life" is unhealthy.

You are right - it's not a choice, it's not an either/or. It's all.

These are both very different and both important... Wealth and Health are 2 areas in a persons life that require proper focus and attention.

Excellent question.

I'm extremely driven and work tirelessly to obtain my goals. However, I recently learned a very important lesson. There is a price for burning the candle at both ends. I was unexpectedly hospitalized and wound up in a coma. The good news is, I'm on the road to recover and the path to achieving my goals.

I learned a very important lesson. No matter how much money and success you have, if you don't have your health, you have nothing.

Success means nothing, if your not healthy enough to enjoy it. I think many of us forget that and focus on the business end and neglect our health.

So, invest in yourself and your business.

Here's to your health, wealth and success.

John: I'm glad to hear you are on the way back to health. I have not only made a commitment to my health but I've also set daily designated times that are family times and helping others become successful just gets put on a back burner.

The reason: I looked at my little ones, knew they were going to grow up too fast and there was no way I could say to them: Wait, until I make a ton of money and then I'll come play with you. It wouldn't work to step back into their lives a year or two down the road.

You hear that you have to sacrifice to achieve the ultimate success story but there is no sense arriving there to find you've sacrificed your family, your health and you've ignored your God given purpose.

Be blessed. And you will be if you pay attention to all the necessary components !

Wealth means nothing if you don't have your health. It is important to have a balance in both definitely but being wealthy is not just about cash flow and assets , it is also about health and joy and freedom of choice.

You can't spend the wealth if you're dead, so I think you said it best, you have to keep balance in the two.

There are many wealthy yet unhealthy people in the world.

True wealth is a healthy mind set, thus you'll be able to aquire wealth and enjoy the greatest in health.

Lasly, many, in their search and quest for wealth, neglect their health.

Whew that's a mouth full, ha, ha...

I am 53 years young. I take GNC multi vitamins. I walk most everyday. Pray, read and listen to the bible as well as personal development materials and try to avoid negativity as much as possible.

I need to do better on the water intake.

Cheers,
