When looking for a business to join, send out an information post. You can have people apply to be your upline. If you are interested in a particular business, post an ad saying that you want to join Xbusiness but are looking for a good upline mentor. Have people apply for the position of being your upline. You'll know by the replies who can help you and who is not all together yet.

I will be getting a new autoresponder soon with a certain company that many pros' use. I am going to post an ad looking for the right person I want as an upline. It's like reversing the role of prospecting. You are prospecting a new upline instead of a downline.

Hi

Before you choose any company, I suggest you take a look at what MLM really is.

You should download our E-Book "Success in Ten Steps", study it and get some answers to your questions.

You can download the E-Book from my page

Dear Jon,

Featherica is asking for help on how to choose the right business which means she probably would not know what to look for in your company to decide IF it's what she wants to do. Why would you pitch her?

You don't even know what she's looking for nor weather what you have matches you talents and interests. What reason does she have to call you but to be sold something?

Your opinion on your MLM being the best is the shared by every other rep with every other company... it hardly means a thing to anyone one else because it doesn't ensure the other person will feel the same.

Sure, send out cards is a great company with a valuable service but the question her is does Featherica have the right mind set, skills and information to be able to recognize that her self? Based on her question, I'd say, "No"...

You've gotten so many good answers to your question (and a few company pitches as well). From my perspective, having failed in 3 network marketing endeavors prior to my present successful one, I have some ideas for you. Yes, the product, the company, the compensation plan, the corporate team, are all very important. These all require that you do your "due diligence". But I think there is something you need to do prior to all that (and bBetter Networker is a great starting place). You need to find a mentor that you feel will help you achieve what you are looking for. So that means reaching out like you have done here and then contacting people who's answers you like, and really getting to know them. Some people on this post have offered to interview you, and that's a great offer...but in reality, you should also be interviewing them.

Find a real live person who you connect with and resonate with. Then understand how that person will mentor and teach you. If it feels right, then look at their company and product. There are many, many products out there that you can love. But even the most passion for a product will not help you if you are not being supported and trained in a way that works for you.

I often speak with and consult with people who are searching, just like you. As a professional "coach", I use my skills to help you find your own answers. I would be happy to offer that to you. I do not charge for that type of consultation. You are in a very enviable position. There are so many people who posted and offered their advice and services. Your first move has been brilliant...truly researching and exploring. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Some excellent replies here. For others I guess old habits die hard, what happened to forming relationships?
Heather it would be great to hear a little more about you, where are you from etc.

Hi Featherica,

When deciding what company to sign up with, you want to be sure that you like the products offered. Further, you will want to market products that fit your budget and allow enough commission to justify your costs of marketing including your time.

To me financial education, health and personal growth development is the most beneficial product/services that a company can provided. It is information that everybody should know and understand. However, few grew up in a circle that exposed them to it. If you are interested in financial education related companies make sure to research the companies and do your necessary due diligence. Certain people can only provide this type of education and it will only be thought of as reputable if the C.E.O’s have a lengthy track record. It will help if the company has been around a long time, otherwise financial literate individuals that you market to will see right through your “fly by night” MLM operation. In addition to the value that you will get through these products and the value that you will give to others, these products command a price, which can produce commissions over $5,000.

Although there are all sorts of great ways to market, free. They are not free as they take time. In addition, I like Google Adwords. There is a science to it. But, when you get it working its very powerful. Adwords in addition to time costs money. This is why substantial income is needed to profit after you consider all of your expenses.

I hope this helps with your quest. Come see me on MySpace,

Featherica,
I hope you haven't decided on a company just yet. I highly suggest watching the video and free ebook
http://andrew.mymaxsystem.com/land1.php. This was put together by two of the most knowledgeable minds in network marketing and one of them has actually sat in the office of The Federal Trade Commission discussing the MLM/Network Marketing Business. The other has studied over 200 compensation plans in the industry. Most companies that you look at these days will not have the 5 Key Essentials covered.

All the best,
Andrew Murphy
Network Marketing leaders always have a huge prospect list and a fat wallet. The reason why is because they follow Mike Dillard's System. Do YOU?

Hi, Heather!

You've gotten some good replies and good advice already, so I'll just tell you a little about my company that I have been with for over 6 yrs now. It's called SFI - Strong Future International - and we are world-wide!

We've been on the net as SFI for over 10 yrs and more before that. Visit us at:

http://www.quickinfo247.com/7571407.41/FREE

sign up for Free,
then...........................

you can go in and visit our entire site (back office, if you will). You can see all the information we have for you there to teach you, to help you build a team, and to show you our products that we promote, that are All Natural. We are constantly adding new programs, such as EyeEarn, which is brand new.

We are waiting with baited breath for November when our new store will be unveiled. In this store you can sell any number of products, including those from another company, or your own "garage sale items". It will be similar to eBay. AND, you will earn SVP whenever you use it!

There's always so much going on at SFI! Our President has a column on our dboard where we can ask questions of him and he is quick to answer. Our Forum Moderators are experienced, long-term SFIers who know a lot and are very helpful. There is so much help for you here: training, hit tracking, a downline you can readily communicate with, reports, and so much more.

I'm sure you'll find it interesting! It could be just what you're looking for, because we have so much to offer!
