Quality of life is important and I think if you have a business that cannot operate without you being involved everyday then you are missing leveraging the efforts of others & automation
The goal is to be able to go on more vacations and enjoy the family while you get paid and others continue to learn from the foundation you put in place :D

Wendy, I couldn't agree more I love your simple goal analogy in respect to taking more vacations and enjoying your family etc it's a win win situation to be had, thankyou for you imput.
Kind Regards,
Jayne :)

Hi all.
I would suggest putting some extra hours before you go and letting it run on autopilot. That way you know you have prepared yourself for your holiday and you can really relax and enjoy your holidays with your family without feeling guilty that you have not done anything while away.
Have good holidays!

Hi Wendy,
Yes I agree, preplanning blogs, banners and automation works well and did work well, whilst I was away! Meaning my time with my family was complete quality time uninterrupted : )

I personally set up things such as blog posts on autopilot. They are prewritten for a given period of time and then auto submitted by my software while away.

Hi Jayne
I like this one a lot. It reminds me of what JOHN MAXWELL says which is to do the 5 things EVERYDAY that it takes to keep your business moving forwards..However on holidays you do it less..
You may want to get it done and then focus on the family time..I usually ask my family to give a time frame they will tolerate for me to do some business and then I am all theirs..They do it because they know I am in this for all of us and will NOT focus on fun if some part of business is on my mind because it was.
not done..So they give me a half hour or a definate time to be ready and so I am happy and so are they.

Yes I agree, it's easier for children especially to have a little say and an understanding as to why we do what we do. Give and take on both sides, bodes for a greater of acceptance and tolerance from the family.

Great topic Jayne and one worth giving some thought to.

Of course it depends on what kind of things we do normally.

Part of my marketing is content and I do a lot of video. So I just do a bunch of video while I am out and about. A daily digest can be very insightful and entertaining.

The other thing is pictures, people love to see pictures of the trip! They are not just pictures of a trip though they are life-style pictures.

Now of course the actual physical part of it is to plan ahead, if your product is portable than bring some along! When you are using product when traveling it can start a conversation...

The major thing is, I don't put my business on hold, that is a big big mistake, just find ways to bring it out mobile with you as you travel and as you are with family!
