Beware of him who tries to poison your mind against another under the pretense of helping you. The chances are a thousand to one he is trying to help himself.

South African poet and painter Breyten Breytenback tells of a black man named Freedom who was the property of a one-legged slave owner in the days before the abolition of slavery. Whenever the owner bought a new pair of shoes, he gave the left one, which he couldn't use, to Freedom. Eventually, wearing two left shoes deformed Freedom's right foot, and he was permanently crippled by the "generosity" of his master.

Don't be fooled by people who attempt to further their own interests under the guise of helping you. Listen to advice from others, thank them for their interest, and make up your own mind about what is best. Follow their advice if it fits with your plan for your life, but don't hesitate to discard it if it doesn't.

In all the world, there is only one individual who knows what is best for you, and that person is you.

Wow. This is so true. If you are not focused on your goals and your dreams then the "junk" others try to feed you will get in the way. You end up losing your focus and stopping dead in your tracks wondering, "How did I get here?" So, take advice with careful scrutiny with your end goal in mind and you will win every time.

It is true that we all can get sidetracked in reaching our goals.
It seems that everybody is showing you how to make a lot of money with their comp plans and new ways of making money.
As I look at it, this is not the point of it at all!
Our goal is helping others to reach their goals. And it's more exciting to see someone else help others to reach their goals from your original efforts.
We all 'RiseUp' in helping each other to achieve our goals and live a better resourceful lives with our loved ones.
Making money is only secondary. Making money only helps you to reach more people to help more of their goals.
Running a business does just that. Profits humbles us to do more for our community.

Exactly Mario! Being focused only on the money gets you nowhere fast. Being focused on helping others and being genuine about it gets you piece of mind and satisfaction of knowing somebody is better off since you helped. Just as I believe God intended in the first place! Oh and yeah, the money comes later and its like an added bonus!

Yeah i agree, I just commented on another post reference attitude and it is your attitude that will get you past all the negatives that can be put upon you by many thinking they have your best interests at heart. I am sure all of you at some point when you started had a friend or relative telling you your business was "one of those pyramid things" can easily put people off if they are not made of stern stuff!!

When I talk to people, I give them all the facts. I let them decide what is best for them and I let them know that. I let them do the research on the subject and come to the same conclusion that I have and they too will believe what I have found out myself.
They will sell themselves and will be convinced of the facts that you have been telling them.
You will have a life long customer when they can decide for themselves the benefits of your products.
