I am sick and tired of these emails.....

Postby Jim Ticehurst on Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:39 pm

All that I have recieved this week is email from people with bad news. Do you know that it's Christmas?
These people are like the angels of death, their greed is hidden behind a mask, they are pretending to 'help' people that are suffering already by asking them to give them money that they mostly cannot afford.

What sort of people are these? Yes the world is in a bad state and the reason is becaue of people like them, scum. if they have done so well for themselves then why not truly help others and not take the little that they have left....still I guess that we have all read the story of Scrooge, that came about Christmas time as well....

Just recieved.....

Dude! I think we just found YOUR problem.

Diane Hochman explains perfectly the kind of destructive vibe you've got going on right now. Check it out here. http://www.dianehochman.com/2011/09/the ... s-its-you/

How do you plan on making money in your business? Isn't it by providing value in exchange for money? Why should Mike Dillard give everyone money? What would they all do with it?

They'd spend it in exactly the same ways that they always have, because money only amplifies your current habits.

Maybe you think he should give it away for free then? But all good marketers (those that have taken the time to study human psychology) know that people benefit the MOST from training when there is personal commitment and an exchange. In this case, it's money.

Lastly, it's worrying that you say this - why not truly help others and not take the little that they have left - because no one is MAKING anyone pay if they don't want to. If someone has no control over their own spending habits, then heck, this training could be the best thing to ever happen to them.

We have to be careful with the words we use. Not only do they show the true feelings within ourselves, but they reinforce them and cause us to behave in ways that attract more of the same misery we're moaning about, just so we can turn around to the world and say "I told you so".

If there's anything that's going to stand in the way of success, it's having a negative view of those that are where we want to be. Subconsciously we will stop ourselves from achieving success if we think those that are successful are "bad".

So maybe you want to ask yourself, what has made you so angry at these guys that are simply asking for money in exchange for their expertise?

As my good friend Jay always says, the best knowledge is self knowledge.
Want to see how I went from a bored, broke stay at home mum to replacing my family's income in just 30 days online and getting my hubby out of his crappy J.O.B?

Nemo,

I hope you don't mind a bit of unsolicited advice:
Do yourself a favor and unsubscribe to anyone who sends you unwelcome emails. Take control of your information inflow.

Unsubscribing can be a pain and for some it takes multiple tries for it to be effective.

One thing I do is use a gmail address that I use only to opt-in for things I want to check out - but maybe do not want recurring emails from. I check it for activations. You can also check out their emails at your leisure and decide if you want them to go to your regularly checked email. If so, just change your email address with them.

Of course, I am pretty militant about keeping my inbox uncluttered.

Jim, going to be blunt here. I disagree with all you have said mate. You're on their list for what? Charity or to learn, and get on their course, or a solution which will be a product, or coaching?

If not, then get off their list. Hit the unsubscribe button and be done with.

It's a business. How do you know, they are not helping people anyway, like their children, or giving to charity on quiet?

And you know what? Might as well say it. When they do show that on videos, people complain with BS on..

"Ooooh, Look at these Guru's now, rubbbing it on our faces, and how they give to charity."

if the attitude for businesses today, let's say Apple, IBM, Virgin to give flights away for free, free laptopns, free computers, softwares then they won't be where they are today, to increase product service, to hire more people, which helps the economy.

I bought a batter for my dell computer. Cost me £90.00. That's for a battery. They don't give away for free because they provide top notch services and the support with it is free. Hence, anyone knows, that if they want more from leaders, or any business, they need to show comittment than just...reading...their...emails.

Look how ungrateful people are right now! There are tons of articles written, excellent ones right on now on BN. Do we lots of people commenting on those FREE articles, FREE videos, FREE? No.

Free does nothing. People can give full free wordpress course and they don't built it still but waste time chatting on forums, facebook, complaining on information overload - when it's their lack of managing themselves.

All a person does who have attitude, understanding, and a rich perspective in life is they unsubscribe to what they don't want and get off the list, and go their merry way.

The marketers hasn't made you angry.

It's your perspective in life that has. You're on their list. Their list is about selling a product by sending emails, of whatever kind. You opted in, knowing they are marketers and knowing they are going to sell something on each email they send.

That's their job, that's their role, that's their business.

Whether it's scarecity, whether it's joy, or whether the world is going down the toilet, which it's not. Whether it's revealing someone's pain or problem. They selling. Because that's what it is. Selling.

They are not scum. Just because they are making money, selling.

You call those shops in your neighbourhood, open right now scum? How about the banks who are increasing inflastion, scum? How about the woman who is doing her washing at a dry cleaning shop? Is that shop keeper scum too?

How about the father, mother, sister, who wake up even on holidays to make money because they want a better future for their children, pay bills, get rid of debt? Are they scum too?

They are in a business, and they are selling.

They are fathers, mothers, daughers, sisters, brothers of someone else. They are not scum. That could be my mother, my brother, my sister, my uncle, or my friend sending emails, to sell.

And personally, anyone who has a problem with that then get out of the business world, stay away from subscribing to emails and get a bloody job, and complain how the boss uses them. And how they never get paid enough.

You want scum.

Go and sort the bleeding politicians out. They are scum waging war, sending our bros, sisters to war and they die.

Go and complain about the Inland damn Revenue who steals money, when they can get the money easily from treasury instead of the people, and take money when they have not worked in their damn life to do so. And taxing people on income. That's illegal but people don't complain about that do they.

Complain about federal reserve as they are biggest scum on earth but it won't do any good. What will is our attitude to do better ourselves.

You pay gas every month, electric every month, phone every month, rent every month. And you will be charged, on Xmas. Are they scum too?

Then tell them to switch it all off in Christmas holidays. ;)

They are not scum. They are like every business owner, selling their stuff. Trying to make a living to pay for their way. Some make a few dollars, others make millions, and the few make billions.

This is a business quadrant world. It's marketing. It's selling products.

No one should be on anyone's list if they think it's about getting free. There on that list to learn, to buy later on a solution.

And if that is not so, unsubscribe and let us all stop complaining, whinging and giving Network marketing, and marketing itself a bad name.

We should be the last people complaining about rich people making money or any entrepreneur make money.

It's selling.

And no one forces anyone to take a credit card and buy.

The ones I find complaining are the ones who ain't making any and have no clue on how to market their own stuff. They'd be busy doing the work than complaining about it and do better.

Yeah it's Xmas and I'll say this in Xmas....

"if anyone's sales hasn't increased, shame on you. Because companies right now are raking it in, the millons. People will either buy off you or someone else. Hope then that whatever you sell, enriches the life of that person."

Yeah! On Xmas. So what? Make more money, help the economy, hire someone due to that, and give someone a job.

Jim,

I'm sorry to hear that you're not getting any value from the emails I've been sending you.

BetterNetworker only promotes products and services we 100% believe in and use ourselves.

That being said, The Elevation Group may not appeal to everyone, and that's okay. I'm simply passing along information I think is incredibly valuable, and it's up to you to do with it what you wish.

Thank you to everyone who chimed in on this thread...

@Rachael and @Adam, you each made some wonderful points, and thank you @Betsy for your great suggestion!

Cheers,

Thank you Adam and Betsy….

“If we must disagree, let us agree to disagree without being disagreeable. Agreed?”

Firstly I should like to say this ‘yes, I am in a very negative frame of mind at the moment’ so you are both completely right there. I wish that I could ‘get out of it’ but that is often easier said than done.

I guess that many might say that I am jealous of the success of the originator of this topic? Well just to put some closure on that observation ‘Yes, I am” so that’s that bit out of the way as well…

Lets get down to basics here. What we are talking about is subscribing to a Blog, and yes of course anyone is entitled to do that.

The author of the blog in question is selling financial advice for which he openly and truthfully declares he is not responsible and that any monies paid to him will not be returned. That’s fair enough. Bernie Madoff must be turning green with envy.

As regards ‘un-subscribing’ to the originator of the emails well they are coming in at the rate of about 10 a day at the moment (no doubt they will cease after Friday?) but as I never subscribed to them in the first place (except Betternetworkers) that seems rather pointless.

As regards ‘Business is booming’ well good for you Adam. Did you know that banks are business’s as well?
I have a bank account in America guess how much interest they have paid me in the last two years? None.
I also have some money in the bank in England and although they do pay 3% interest they will not pay me any interest because I don’t live in England at the moment. I also have some money in the bank in New Zealand but the Queen of England has recently withdrawn her Guarantee on their funds…..

So Adam with all these Business’s booming I am surprised that the banks are not doing a lot better...like the other business’s?......

Adam unless things have changed in Britian the method of selling in America is different. The general message with products here is ‘buy one get one FREE’ which is how I have been approached here regarding this product (or Blog) call it what you will. If I am correct in the UK you are not allowed to say ‘Buy one get one free’ because the one that you buy is actually paying for the free one as well. In fact in the stores there they are not to even give away free food because it creates unfair competition, which is why Tescos and British Home Stores sells tins of food for a penny each.

In closing, the thing that really annoyed me was the title of this article from this website:
Subject: Top 10 Scarcest Foods of Our Apocolyptic Future

Actually I don’t think that the word ‘Apocolyptic’ even exists but the words ‘Apocalypse’ and Apocalyptic’ certainly do and the general meaning of them is :

Predicting imminent disaster……(try building your mlm business on that)….

…. and you wonder that I am feeling ‘negative? I was under the impression that this site was for people who were trying to make a better future for themselves and others? not to subscribe to a blog where they might lose what little they have left ….
Everything in its own place, anyway that’s my take on the subject, so I am going down the pub now,

God Bless you all, regards Jim T.

Which proves a point doesn't it Jim. That you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. That you know how it works in comerce, and how it's going to go with the emails you subscribe to; especially one's on financial stuff, which is usually, based on doom and gloom.

I for once, personally, don't believe in all the doom and gloom, and I'm subscribed to emails that are more positive, goes with my valies - than ones you pointed out. It's just a simple decision. I see emails, I don't like, I unsubscribe.

And reason I do, is I'm responsible what goes into my head, which later becomes thoughts of mine, which creates emotions, and so forth.

As you have noted, "and you wonder why I feel negative."

What I'm saying Jim, we have a choice. It is an amazing powerful gift. I either choose to be on someone's list of doom and gloom, or the many emails they send every day. Or I unsubscribe and done with.

Regards

Sorry everyone, despite my *devilishly* good looks, I'm just human and sometimes make minor spelling and grammar mistakes... And it annoys the heck out of me!

Jim, about that subject line... I heard a commercial on the radio that talked about the top 10 foods that would be the hardest to find in stores when things really go to h#ll in the next few years, and thought it was crazy, too!

So I figured it would be clever to reference this in the subject line. For the record, I don't think there's going to be an apocalypse, at least not anytime in my lifetime! :-)

Cheers,
Jason

Well said Adam,

Seeing that the world is in a bad economic situation, it sure seems like somebody had some money to spend, just look at the after Thanks Giving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday sales. Many businesses had records sales this hoilday season.

Sadly though, so many folk will complain about the Goverment and never purchase anything that can help further their own self education on how to better their financial life, I speak from experience with family and co-workers, yet those same folk will stand in line for hours, in the cold, to purchase the latest techno gadget.

Makes you wonder?

.

Jim I completely understand where you're coming from.
In fact I'm just now coming off a 2 week hiatus from Facebook, Better Networker, email... all of it.
It was time for a much overdue <break> from all the noise.

I have to say... It was pretty damn refreshing.
I almost feel like I went on vacation.

Now Im sure someone will be quick to point out that I in fact just posted an article promoting EVG.
No problem... on with the show.

So here's my commentary on your post Jim...
Like I said I totally "get it."
And frankly, if you can't be honest right here on Mike's own network, then where can you be?
I applaud you for speaking your mind (even if you didnt mention Mike's name or "Jason Better")
We all know who you;re referring to - don't be afraid to say it.
I really don't think that's the kind of community we're all trying to build here.
God knows we have enough of that shit going on with the real life police state.

Now as far as the emails are concerned, all I can say is "Headlines Sell."
Bad news draws eyeballs and controversy garners attention...
Its just the unfortunate plight of human nature.

I'm not going to sit here and patronize you.
You know the reality of the situation and you don't have to continue receiving these emails.
Enough said.

The thing I'd rather talk about here Jim is the fact that you know where you are.
You've stated that you know you're head isn't in a good place right now.
That's what I'd like to talk about...

I know what it's like to get caught up in it.
I know what it's like to venture into those dark places in our minds and get trapped there.
Frankly times are all very overwhelming and I'm not surprised more people aren't {{{FREAKING OUT!}}}

We can argue, we can point fingers, we can fight... But I for one don't accept that.
You're a fellow human being in need and I just can't ignore that.

How can we help you Jim?
What needs to transpire in your life to help you get out of that funk and get in a good place mentally so you can move forward and take care of business?
