Well i'll be honest it wasn't actually me but a part of me......
It was 31 years ago today and I was standing in a bar in London and it came on the television there that John Lennon had been shot and killed. The whole pub became silent, nobody spoke or moved for what seemed an erternity, I can still remember the exact moment and the picture will stay in my mind forever.
So whats this got to do with us on here? quite a lot really....
Somebody on here recently wrote a post with the title 'Paying in Forward' and although they made reference to paying I believe $5 forward ......but every one seemed to come to the conclusion that the only way to 'pay it forward' is with money. I give the barmaid down my local (now in Reno) more than that every time I have a drink in there (which is quite often)....as my wife can confirm.
I kinda 'Pay it forward' lots of times every year, I collect the neighbours mail when they go away, I catch their dogs when the get out of the yard, I answer questions for them about travel...lots of small things...we should not always associate 'paying it forward' with money.
When very large companies are hiring new staff they spend a great deal of money on managerial staff, advertising, travel, accomadation, food etc.... do they lose money that way? I guess sometimes they do, but thats not us is it?
But let us not be to casual on the interpretation that we place upon word pictures, we can help others often without sponsoring them or taking their money .....maybe they could start to get involved in other ways that help us and them at the same time without any cost to them at all. Many of the companies have weeky broadcasts and how much does it cost to put cards in their supermarket and get you some leads?
Joe Girard got fired at the car sales yard where he worked, he then got a new job just opposite and he became the greatest salesman in the world. Every year he sent the company that fired him a copy of his tax return with a note that said 'see what you missed out on'? (or words to that effect). You can see who I am talking about here at http://joegirard.com.
So let us try to never undervalue the meanings of words, if you want a free ebook about it check this out,

Thanks for this article. We seek to help others in a way of 'paying it forward'. Our experience and business sense is used to help others to either join us in business or start a venture of their own. Giving someone that extra help they may need to get started in the right direction.
Thinking of others before you think of yourselves in helping others to attain their goals. Their success will be your goal and achievement in a way of 'paying it forward.'

I agree with you.
You can pay it forward with time, money, energy, love, etc.
Life is about giving back and helping others. Sure, money is important, but it's not the most important thing.

Too true Jim,
a lot of people trample on everyone on
their rise to the top with no care or
interest in the people they are dealing with.
There are lots of ways you can help people
without getting paid for it.
Have a great day,all the best Brian
