I think that it is important to attend national convention. However, it is important to turn the hype and all of the training into action IMMEDIATELY when you return. I have seen people at national conventions spend the money to go, learn but do not apply what they have learned.

I agree company conventions are great to attend if you can afford it, but
more importantly, if you're scheduled to receive awards and recognition for
your accomplishments.
It's a great feeling to be acknowledged in front of hundreds or thousands
of your peers and a group of potential business partners you may have
invited to attend.
Many of the more established companies put together very entertaining
events with exciting theatrical and musical performances in addition to
showcasing talented and successful individuals who offer valuable ideas
related to the company and the industry.
You may not be able to attend all of them, but it's nice to attend a few
when you have the time.
They can be a great morale booster.

Conventions = Survival. There is no question about it. Beg, borrow, steal to Attend. And Oma, read this if still unsure:

If you have the Funds to go to the Event go But if it will cause you financial Burden then you need to learn how to Manifest that money 1st. I have been to company Events they only keep you jacked up a short time.
You need Events everyday all most to keep the Breath of Life in Your business. You need to come from abundance if this Event will cause Hardship on you and then as a result you become Needy. You will not beable to do a thing. People are not attracted to people who just went in Debt 3000 for a event now to pay for it they need you to join. You need to Build your Business in the beginning for little or no cost. If your company does not Train you. You got problems. If all you have is a live event in the US. It is not duplicatable. Come from abundance do not go in to Debt for this business When you do not have too.

oma wrote:Hi,
I'm just wondering if attending my company's national convention would add any real value to my business, and move it to the next level. I live in Africa, and the convention is in the US, but my uplines have been trying to talk me into attending the convention. And i ve only made double my start up cost, form this business, in about 6months. I am just skeptical about spending money on a venture that might profit me little. Any ideas, please?
I feel it is very important for you and your team. I just came back from a company convention with so much more knowledge about the company and product. Meeting the founders of the company was a great education. How they started with nothing and how they grew the company to where it is today, because they had a dream and desire to make it happen. We all need to dream like that and make it happen.Very inspiring. Go you will not be sorry. Many rewards will follow .A great book to read "The Magic of Believing"
