We were always taught not to call before 9 am or after 8pm at night.
The best thing to do when initially speaking with them is to ask when it's best to call them.
We had a "Needs Analysis Questionnaire" we used when chatting with people on the first call and it had that Q on it.
It was easy to ask them..."Do you have kids to get off to school, work or whatever etc?" and they'd say Yes or No, so you'd just ask what's the best time to call you then, re a follow up?
They'd always tell you a time that suited.
Never had one that didn't respond...
Then you'd set the follow up time for an Interview and they'd be waiting or if they were busy, they always called in...as they felt it was so important to obtain an interview with you.
You had already positioned yourself as a solution to their problem, now they were after you, not the other way around!
But at the start, you do have to initiate the sequence, as they don't understand the intro process.
Kindest...
Hey Mary,
Thanks for your response. I think having a questionnaire is a great idea! Seems like its working great for you. Would consider using that myself.
You are very right. They went after us, not the other way around! LOL Now let's be the leader everyone else is looking for in this world!
Thank you very much! Great answer.
