Is there a perfect timing for your leads?
I got a quick question here. Is there a perfect time to call your leads? Like the time of the day or day of the week? If you call them and let's say it heads straight to voice mail, do you call them back or have them call you? Is it recommended to call more than 2x of not hearing from that person?

It's going to depend on the person. If they have a full time job, calling them in the day isn't going to be good. If they are stay at home mom's - think about a child's schedule (lunchtime, bath time, getting dinner ready, not good times). You should just simply ask them what is the best time to reach them to have a small chat.
Don't be shy - you are showing respect - and you are respecting your time which is equally as valuable.
If it goes to voicemail, I'd leave one voicemail. Don't chase them. If someone is REALLY interested or really curious they will call you back. If you leave 2 voicemails, it sort of shows desperation. Would you leave 2 voicemails for your friend if you called and they didn't call ya back? Probably not - you'd just wait till they called ya back.
I'd be leaving one message and also one email and that is it. Again, let them prove to you they are serious to some degree and/or interested enough to learn more. You only want to spend your time with those that are close to taking action or show pro-activeness to some degree.
Remember to see your business BIG (much bigger than it is now). If you had 1000 people in your team right now - how would you act? Act that way from day 1
So, you'd probably only do what I suggested - one email or voicemail or one of both and that is it.
Let us know how it goes!

Wow this is a great answer Jaxi! I'm sure a lot of people will benefit from your answer. You pretty much nailed all the important parts here and I totally agree with you on the call back part.
And YES! There is no such thing as perfect.
Thanks!

Unless they indicated in some way you won't know for sure. The rule of thumb is not before 8 am their time and not after 9 pm their time. Now some may ask you not to call after an earlier time, but again unless you have a conversation or an e-mail you won't know.

Thanks for your answer Lynda. I think that's a good rule to follow and seems practical enough.

Re: Is there a perfect timing for your leads?
I have learned before you call anyone be sure to listen to them and hear what they are saying. They would be the first ones to tell you when is the best time to call. You are still building a friendship and they are just beginning to get to know you.
If you are coming on as a pushy salesman, it will show. But as a welcomed friend they would invite you to call when it is convenient for them. Respect their privacy and allow them to make the time for your call. Sometimes it may be better for them to call you instead and you can tell them when you are available.
Communication is key to your timing and their schedules. Have you ever thought about they may want to arrange others to listen in on the conversation and join in on your opportunity?
Your timing is right to really shine on your opportunity and invite others to join as well!

Hey Mario, great answer here. I'm sure a lot of people would benefit from it. It's always important to be a friend not a pushy salesman. If we be a salesman, we are just basically intruding their privacy and time. Timing definitely is important and is something we got to be aware of.
Thanks for your response!

Re: Is there a perfect timing for your leads?
It is a great question!
We were always taught not to call before 9 am or after 8pm at night.
The best thing to do when initially speaking with them is to ask when it's best to call them.
We had a "Needs Analysis Questionnaire" we used when chatting with people on the first call and it had that Q on it.
It was easy to ask them..."Do you have kids to get off to school, work or whatever etc?" and they'd say Yes or No, so you'd just ask what's the best time to call you then, re a follow up?
They'd always tell you a time that suited.
Never had one that didn't respond...
Then you'd set the follow up time for an Interview and they'd be waiting or if they were busy, they always called in...as they felt it was so important to obtain an interview with you.
You had already positioned yourself as a solution to their problem, now they were after you, not the other way around!
But at the start, you do have to initiate the sequence, as they don't understand the intro process.
