Morning Rituals and their Importance for Your Business

Postby Rania Harris on Thu May 03, 2012 12:48 pm

Most personal development and productivity
experts suggest mornings as the best time
for clear and focused results-driven work.

I personally am a total morning person and
am most productive in the morning hours.

I also believe that different people work
best at different times, but no matter when
you’re productive hours are, it’s important
you set up your day for greater well being
with some morning rituals.

Morning Rituals - Here are 8 ideas:

1. Wake up. Don’t hit snooze. Jump out of bed as
if someone threw a bucket of cold water on you.

Half of your day’s success is actually
showing up and being excited.

Rest time is over, get out of bed now.

2.Drink a pint of water first thing in the morning.

If you don’t like water on its own,
squeeze some fresh lime into it.

Water is great for you – you know that,
mom said that and now we’ve got to do it!

3. Go out and take in the fresh air.

I wake up when I see the sun.
Its energy, invigoration and excitement
is absolutely amazing.

Get up and spend a minute outside looking
up in the sky taking in the morning light.

Wrap up warm if it’s cold, but make sure you do it.

I love stepping outside in the morning and
taking in the fresh air. I enjoy the peace
and the silence. It let's me think and plan
my day.

4.This goes good with #3. Spend time in silence.

Be grateful for what you have.

Mentally or on paper, plan the day out.

If you don’t do the previous night,
write out your to-do list of the
most exciting and important things.

5. I cuddle with my son every morning.

That's a must for me. A day without the cuddle
is a day without breathing.

He is my reason Why I'm doing what I do
and spending time with him in the mornings
reminds me and gives the energy and strength
to tackle the day.

This is my favorite of my morning rituals.

6. Go for a walk. Or hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

People who walk in the morning have more energy
than those who walk at night after a long day.

7. I write in my Journal. A list of morning rituals
without journaling in the morning isn’t complete.

I find it the most exhilarating thing to be sitting
down for a short period and just writing out whatever
comes to my head, no matter whether it
immediately makes sense to me or not.

8. This is a key of my morning rituals.

I listen to inspirational audios or videos.

I love the Empower Network Inner Circle Audios
and the $15K per month formula videos.

I learn a lot and it motivates me every day
and I get new knowledge to share.

What do you do as part of your morning rituals?

This is a very good ritual to have. Many rituals become into habits that you would do every day automatically.
I am getting into the habit of posting an ad every day. If I do one in the morning when I have time, that covers for 24 hours. If I do one late in the evening, that will also cover for 24 hours. if I get into a habit of doing at least one a day, then if for some reason I miss one posting, I would have a post completed for that 24 hours. I can skip one but not two and my habit would not be broken.
Some times you just have to remember to do some rituals every day until it become a habit and things will fall into its place.

I have read somewhere that if you do something everyday at the same time for 14 consecutive days in a row that it THEN becomes a habit. It works its way down into your subconscious programing. So you can also replace bad habits this way. Like if you have a cigarette when you first wake up, you can replace that with the water or something else you want to do instead. I have been doing this for the past few days myself. Not replacing the cigarettes (as I dont smoke), but drinking the water. And I have found it gives me the extra energy that I need for my day. After I tackle one task, I will add another for the next 14 days. I am excited because by the end of the year I will be a whole new person. haha!
