There Was a Time ....

Postby Jim Ticehurst on Fri Dec 30, 2011 11:19 am

....when bad really meant bad, but now bad means good and wicked now means really good....

There was also a time when ‘Guru’ meant ‘an Indian Wiseman’ but now I think that that has also changed to…. ‘Hey, I am really new at this’…..

Have you ever heard Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale, or Dale Carnegie describe themselves as ‘Gurus?....I doubt it….

We are blessed on this site with having some great leaders, people like:
Richard Bravo, Adam Taha, Diane Hochman and Melanie Milletics (just to name a few) have you ever heard any of them refer to themselves as ‘Gurus’….I doubt it…..

If anyone on here wants to refer to themselves as a ‘Guru’ well I guess that that’s their business but trust me if you can’t back it up you are gonna get problems.

Saying you are a Guru when you are not will certainly fool some of the people for some of the time… but “hey, who wants to be surrounded by stupid people anyway”?

Just be yourself, all the best, regards Jim T.

You make some good points man.

I'd rather have other people call me a guru than call myself one.
