Usana Health Sciences
Hi, Namal De Silva here, I would like to ask the community/site creators if I they can create a category for "Usana Health Sciences" reason maybe obvious as I am a rep for that company but would like for it to be represented. Thank you

Recruiting USANA Distributors Legally
USANA distributors!! Hello and welcome all...
I guess we should get the ball rolling with a question so i'll offer one up.
Has anyone else successfully applied magnetic sponsoring techniques to build their USANA business? If so, please describe your approach (in particular how you avoid all the compliance issues we are all bound by)

Hi Jim, Namal De Silva here, yes, I'm using Magnetic Sponsoring to generate new leads and am also building a site for "Me.Inc" / my company products using the techniques in Traffic Formula. I don't talk about my company and it isn't mentioned anywhere so I don't "endanger" the company's reputation. Anything else you want me to mention? :)

Re:Recruiting USANA Distributors Legally
Hi all,
Namal...thanks for your reply. Have you started recruiting from your magnetic sponsoring efforts yet? if so, are you using a sales letter or calling your prospects or what?
on another topic...i'm looking for partnerships for creating a system to sell the USANA products. Anyone up for that? I require someone with a lot of knowledge on fitness or health and nutrition.
I'll be handling all aspects of the marketing!
Oh...once complete the product and system would be accessible to ALL usana distributors to use freely to build their business. So any input would be appreciated.

Re:Recruiting USANA Distributors Legally
Hi Guys
I havent fully started using MS to generate an endless flow of leads yet. Ive been using the tactics suggested by Mike ie dont pitch our business op to prospects and to help them discover how Usana can help them achieve their goals. Prior to finding MS I was doing what most other network marketers in New Zealand (and the rest of the world) are doing ie using a script to pitch the Usana opportunity. This has kinda worked for me as Ive built a team of about 300 since I joined 2.5yrs ago but as you can imagine only about 20-25% are active. So using MS Ive followed up with a few previous prospects and found new prospects and have sponsored 3 per month for the last 3 months. Just by letting them discover how Usana can benefit them. Fantastic stuff. These numbers are not bad for me considering I was averaging 1 every 2 months prior to MS. So far that's all Ive been using MS for. Time constraints ie busy job, wife and 8month old baby, and traditional Usana prospecting and training have kinda been my priorites (which I know is not good). So Im intending to use the online prospecting methods taught by MS to fully utilise the system and to hopefully develop my own. For now Im not exactly sure where to start as Ive had info overload. So any help re: pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Ive started a coupla Google campaigns. Not sure what else to do ie do I get an autoresponder?
Jim, about partnerships for selling Usana products. Im in for that, Im not a doctor but I love health and nutrition and so have been studying these topics for the last 2.5yrs. Reminds me of school and Uni days where I took a few physiology papers coz I loved the subject. Ive recommended products to quite a few of our customers in NZ as well as simple exercise programs and this has helped them achieve better health. Im not sure what you are looking for in this area, maybe we can discuss this further. Are you based in Sydney? Reason I ask is because Im in Syd next week and would love to catch up if you are based in Syd and keen to as well.
Namal, thanks for starting this post and I totally second (or third) the idea of having our own Usana Health Sciences sub-community.
Phew! Didnt realise I could write that much.
Regards

is there a specific area of the uses of our nutritional products that you have expertise in?
For example, people who do Herbalife can create a product on say, "How To Lose 7kg in 7 Minutes a Day" or something like that. It would emphasise the importance of nutrition, the right kind of food, and exercise. This lets someone who writes such a guide be able to passively sell the weight loss products Herbalife has.
Do you have any idea about what could be done (in a similar way) with USANA products? Do you have knowledge/expertise in a "how to" area where we can link one or more of the USANA nutritionals?

Many people are now more aware of the benefits of nutrition and good supplements. So to answer your question:
- Usana Essentials, "All your vitamin needs in one simple package". The 40 plus minerals, vitamins, and trace elements work synergistically to improve health.
- Body Rox, "Problems with teenagers and their hormonal changes". Helps calm teenagers, the magnesium/calcium content is largely responsible for this.
- Usanimals, "Boost your childs immune system so they can fight against chronic degenerative diseases." We've helped so many kids with eczema, diabetes, arthritis etc by using the Usanimals.
- Procossamine 2, Helps people with arthritis and joint problems. Im a firm testament to this as this helped my with my sports injuries.
- Sense. We've held spas (well, my wife has) for this product and some of the Macro Optimizer range. The women who attended these spas totally love the products and bought heaps. we have preferred customers who buy reguarly coz of these spas.
- Macro Optimizer range. Helps people lose weight, build muscle, clean/detox. Great for diabetic patients because of the low Glycemic Index and fibre. We've helped on person who's diabetic to get his blood sugar to normal and keep it there by using this, Essentials. I even suggested a simple, regular exercise program for him.
I can give you a lot more on what the other supplements can help with. But they all work well if one is taking the essentials which is why it is the core product.
Need any more info lemme know.
Rgds

Re:Recruiting USANA Distributors Legally
Devin,
See it's good that we know what the products can do but what we need is a guide about for example diabetes.
Diabetics might want to know about how to keep their blood sugar levels stable. Now we cant do a blatant sales pitch of the USANA products no matter how much they help. So it's not enough to just know the USANA products. Someone needs to really have insider knowledge of what diabetes means, what the issues are, and the different solutions for blood sugar. Eg, diet, foods, exercise. We have to be able to recommend FOOD rather than shakes and nutritional products. The product has to be very generic and thorough. It's important that it's worthy of selling you see?
I was thinking if there was a personal trainer amongst us. Someone liek that could help write a product on Fitness for Men. There are a lot of products for weight loss, mainly aimed at women, there are a lot of products for body building for men--but very few for general over-all fitness.
A topic like that would allow us to promote ALL the USANA products passively but leaves enough room for genuine value without an ulterior motive. But you see, i'm no fitness trainer. I wouldn't be able to tell people what the BEST food to eat to put on muscle and lose fat is. I wouldnt know what to tell them to do in terms of exercise--which exercises get better results. Timings, number of reps, all that kinda stuff that an insider would know.

Yup, I know about about this as well ie information and a how to guide on a particular topic or disease. Eg type 2 diabetes, what it is. The causes, how insulin resistance leads to diabetes, what is syndrome X, deficiency of certain vitamins and antioxidants, what recent studies have shown, etc etc.
Ive read heaps about these diseases eg heart disease, cancer, etc. I subscribe to a site by Dr Ray Strand www.bionutrition.org and there's fantastic info there.
Now, Im no "expert" in this area because I dont have a degree or work in this field. So whether people will believe or trust a How to Guide from me/us is another matter. I suppose quoting studies etc will help.
Thx

Devin,
ok shall we go with diabetes or something else? Let's think about what we can offer as a freebie for the capture page and get one setup.
