Is Network Marketing About Persuasion and Influence?

In your network marketing business, there are two ways of prospecting: persuasion and influence. You can persuade your prospects to get them into your deal, but they will quit soon afterward. Alternatively, you can influence your prospects to join your network marketing company as business partners, and they will stick with you for a lifetime. By having *REAL* influence on them.

Hey Timothy!
Great to see you here on BN, my friend - welcome!
I really like the topic that you picked, and I'm sure that your right about the persuation vs. influence part.
A little piece of advice when you do videos (hope you take it openly):
Be more direct and to the point! Keep your videos under 3 minutes if possible (I know it is very difficult!)
Here's what I mean: You pretty much wasted the first 30-40 seconds stretching and yawning and telling me where the bed is.... Doesn't really matter to me, if I was a prospect watching and hoping to be inspired.
A rule of thumb when you do video marketing: Tell your viewers what your video will give them within the first 10 seconds! That'll get there attention and you have a much better chance that they'll watch to the end.
There are many more things to be aware of, but as long as you have something important and valuable (to your prospects) to share, you're being direct and to the point and keep it shorter than 3 minutes then your videos will rock!

Hello Timothy, Who could better convince you ? someone peddling a sure fire thing, or yourself taking in the facts, and analyzing them, then coming to your own conclusion? Successful marketing is about listening, asking questions, and providing factual information. There is no arm bending, or persuasion this only makes achieving a goal that much harder.

First, who is your target? if the people your marketing to in their mind have no need or desire for what you are offering their will be resistance. GET TO KNOW WHO YOU'RE MARKETING TO.

Second, Listen first, ask questions second, people have to feel comfortable about giving you business .

Third, Give yourself permission to have a customer, This was my battle feeling like people did not want to do business with me. I could not answer why they wouldn't , but in my mind I concluded that no matter what I was making other people aware of, they would not buy, when I gave myself permission to have customers, the strangest thing happened people did business with me=)

Hey Timothy. I think Lasse sees the same thing I do in you. You have got the ability to do very well in video marketing but his advice is right on. Keep it shorter. keep it clear and concise and do more videos !

There are some really good marketers on BN that you can learn some amazing stuff from just by watching them. Stacia Hopkins, Diane Hochman, Eric Worre are a couple off the top of my head.

Seek out those who are doing what you want to do and then follow them and you will become all that you could ever dream of. Video marketing is obviously your forte.
