More and more I think we are all seeing the merging of SEO and social media. It is almost as if a well on page SEOed site is a requirement and the social media syndication fuels the fire.
I am playing with and testing lots of different things in this realm, including traffic geyser and Charles Heflin's Synnd network. So I just wanted to start a thread here on the topic to see what questions/insights are out there.
I'm testing this today with a social media conversion technique I talk about in this video on my blog. I tried to share the video on BN, but it didn't work for some reason.

Andrew,
Thanks for this video. I learned a ton. You have got me thinking about social media in an entirely new way.

Re: Content Syndication and Social SEO
Hey Andrew,
Great to see you here. I've been checking your content within Synnd, and I'm proud to promote it.
It's funny you posted about the exact subject I wanted to start a discussion on. From your video, I see that you nailed 80% of my post, but I just wanted to point out that very little people understand that the key to social media marketing is "natural replication".
Some people call it the viral effect (here's a blog post I wrote about it), but all it means is that your content is ...
- Highly educational
- Actionable
- Entertaining
- Remarkable
And that is the reason that would drive other users to promote your stuff "organically", turning social media into a highly profitable marketing platform.
The way to influence that natural syndication is to develop your own content syndication network (a large group of friends/followers that will promote your stuff for you through social media). That's why you should make friends at Digg, Delicious, Diigo, etc... So everytime you create a new blog post or video, they will promote it by "digging" or bookmarking it.
What Andrew mentions about the Synnd software is that it does specifically what I just mentioned: it boosts your content high enough on social networks to receive lots of organic exposure, increasing the chances of going viral exponentially.
Here are two videos that Charles Heflin uploaded that really explain the entire concept and show how the synnd software works:

Great post Andrew, I enjoyed your powerpoint.

Hey Leo, thanks for the great reply.
You and I have gone back and forth on a lot of stuff, and we seem to be pretty like minded, and share the common, Brazil thing.
I'd love to connect with you via phone/skype.
Anyway, I read your article,"How To Turn Guerilla Marketing Viral - The Viral Effect!" http://socialmediaguerilla.com/guerillamarketing/how-to-turn-guerilla-marketing-viral-the-viral-effect/
I thought it was great. This was my favorite take away,
"There’s no way anybody will know what it relates to unless they watch/read it to the end"
"Goes WAY beyond “target market”, attractive to a wide range of users
If it passes all these factors, there’s a big chance you’ve got a bazooka Guerilla on your hands."

Andrew,
Awesome video. Funny, I was just researching the that specific content syndication network and ran accross this on better networker, where I spend some time.
I'm going to be trying out the network myself here. It sounds like an enormously powerful concept. I'll let you know what kind of results I get from it.

Wondering if you have come across USA SEO PROs Andrew or anyone on this thread. http://usaseopros.com
I got a loooong long distance call from them last night promising me top rankings in organic search... lots of proof and convincing presentation I must say. Just wondering if you or anyone on BN has had a user experience?

hey Sandeep
I have never heard of USA SEO Pros before. I lloked at their site and it looks interesting but I know I have a hard time when someone promises to get better ranks in the search engine. But what was your feel of them when you talk to them? Did it sound like they knew their stuff or did it just sound like some sales call?
Either way, I would love to hear more about it if anyone else knows anything.
