Seeking a Mentor To Coach Me

Postby Julie Spencer on Tue Oct 07, 2008 7:00 pm

I am seeking a Mentor to provide insight and coach me as I get started with the Magnetic Sponsoring/Building On A Budget system. I am very overwhelmed and believe that one on one guidance would be the most beneficial in getting up and running. If you have already achieved great success using this system and are willing to share your knowledge with me I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance.

Please contact me directly at julie@juliespencer.com.

I would definately suggest taking your time, there are ALOT of great people out there (and in here) go to utube, myspace, facebook and do some research on your business/interest (like boab/ms) and get to know a few people. Opt into their list and see what it is that they have to offer.

I myself have not used the system a great deal, i have other things that have faired me well. But, it is definately a system that can do things for you that would take 100x the amount of research and knowledge then most can do on thier own.

So good luck finding that perfect Mentor, they are great to have. I have many and most of them don't even know who i am.. :)

Julie,

Spend some time observing on the forums. After a while you'll notice that some people will stand out to you and resonate with you. Once you find someone you think might be a good mentor for you send them a private message through betternetworker.

Here's the thing...

The mentor / coach you're looking for will not be the ones that respond to your email address from this posting. You need to find a mentor and then approach them. Not the other way around.

I agree with "4mywealth". Shortly after I joined this group I had several people contact me offering to help, but they quickly faded out of the picture when I didn't seem interested in their opportunity.

This whole idea of Magnetic Attraction has to do with building relationships over time, and ultimately creating a loyal following of people who believe in you and are therefore open to what you have to offer. Those people who tried to connect with me were looking build a mentoring relationship in a matter of days.

Long story short, take your time finding the right person. (I'll put in a good word for Ferny Ceballos, although he's a very busy guy!)

Best,

Julie,
I have to second what Dean said. I expected to see hundreds of people in this post offering to help you. I'm so glad people did not see your request as an invitation to solicit. There are so many interesting and talented people in this community. I agree that you need to read the forums for awhile and see who stands out and resonates with you. If you read something that you like, click on that person's name and you will be redirected to their profile. That is a great way to "get to know" who people are, what they stand for and what they can offer to you. I also recommend sending some private messages to people who seem like ones you would want to meet, and ask them to call you. You are looking for a mentor and you have the right to essentially "interview" people to see if they'd be available and if you feel you could work with them and benefit from their expertise.

Best of luck to you. You've started out on the right foot.

Julie,

I always ask this of each person. What got you started looking for a network marketing business? And what are you hoping to find?

Also, let me just parlay something I learned some time ago from one of my mentors. When you are looking for any new mentor or opportunity, LOOK and RESEARCH that mentor and also his/her downline. These are people that you may soon be working with, so you want to know what you're getting into.

And lastly, don't rush into making a decision. This is a get rich slowly business, and not a get rich quick business. Anyone telling you so is just after your money, not you or what you bring to the table.

When you make your decision with which mentor your looking for, you will be much better off for doing the research and dutiful questioning.

Julie,

I take it you have purchased Magnetic and Building On A Budget so study them over and over again and then start to implement exactly what Mike Dillard explains but take things one step at a time. Read the forums and find someone or some people that stand out to you. You might find quite a few different mentors here that you will "click" with. This is a very powerful community with some of the top network marketing professionals in the world. I can tell you first hand that you should get on a Monday night call with Todd Falcone ( I don't have an association with him) but he is one of the top trainers and holds a free call on Mondays nights http://toddfalcone.com. It is a no holds barred tell it like it is training and he has over 20
years experience. 5pm pst.

enjoy your time here and become and "expert" in this field.
