I have had a lot of success marketing on these social network sites, more luck with Facebook than MySpace. Has MySpace become a thing of the past for us network marketers? It seems I am able to get a lot more friends that are already in MLM or internet marketing on Facebook. Has anyone seen the same thing? Or do I need to take a different approach marketing MySpace than I do with Facebook?

Thanks for asking this question...I'm was thinking about this yesterday. Which network to join so that I can start partying like a rock star on one of these networks. So far it looks like Facebook is the party of choice so far. Or is there anyone out there suggesting MySpace?

From what I remember being on these two networks, MySpace forums were just notorious for SPAM. No real value being added to the communities there and it seemed more like a competition on who can collect the most friends but no relations really being developed.

Facebook is much better than MySpace, unless you are a musician. The younger age of the MySpace community members make it difficult to find anyone who is serious about anything. They want to collect as many friends as possible, but it results in nothing of value unless you are a musician. The bands on MySpace is what the community seems to be about.

I tend to agree with the other poster's--I much prefer Facebook to Myspace for networking, personal growth and basic business building. MySpace seems to attract a ton more spam, junk requests and overall a lot of younger people that aren't really interested in networking or making changes in their mindset to attract more positive things into their lives. I have made several valuable contacts on Facebook and have reconnected with people in my semi warm and warm markets that I otherwise may not have been in contact with--high school and college friends, members of my team and their friends..it has overall been a positive experience for me. Facebook. Myspace is too scattered. Tons of groups use Facebook.

Facebook is much better. better quality people, MORE people use it and Myspace is dead. People just don't know it yet. Also try www.twitter.com

I agree facebook seems a lot more active these days, I see more results and interaction on facebook. I also like the fact that twitter is so nicely integrated into facebook.

Myspace is still a great resource with many people to meet and build friendships with. Youtube is another site i use along with facebook, twitter and myspace. All four make a great team!

I would not recomend using these sites to market and sell, More effectively build relationships and invite people to your personal web site for more info on that.

I see that everyone is confirming what I have found and that is that most of the serious networkers have moved to Facebook.

BTW there is an application you can use on MySpace that updates Twitter, which updates your Facebook status. Update your status once and it updates all three. Pretty cool.
