I want to know if you have ever gone through that feeling where your phone or cell weigh a ton before you start making those call backs. And if you did go through that..... how did you overcome it? Any tips you want to share?
Make it a great day!

Hi Giselle,
It sounds like you are talking about calling leads back that you have already talked to?
Can you be specific as to what the anxiety is in regards to? Are you following up with people that were not really interested to begin with? Were they cold contacts? Did you get their permission for a follow-up call?

Dear Giselle,
You need to go into this with the mindset of "No Agenda".
As you call them back really focus on them as people, with a mother, father, sister, brothers and children they love just like you. The have their struggles and triumphs every day.
I think you are terrified because you are chasing people down. I would love to show you to look for someone who is looking for YOU. I can help you, if you so desire.

They are leads I have generated through my capture page. These are people that are obviously interested in learning about what I have to offer. I was doing fine in the past. Then I stopped working my business for a couple of months since I moved to Wa & now I don't know what has happened. It's like my phone weighs so much & I dread making the callbacks. I'm always hoping that I get voicemail. I just feel so dumb for having these feelings. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your input Connie. I'm actually not chasing people down. That's the funny part. These are people that have raised their hand to know more about what I have to offer. I was doing fine a couple months ago. Then I stopped working & I just started promoting my capture page again & when I went to grab my phone to do the callbacks I froze. I don't know how else to explain it.

You have to disconnect yourself from the result of the call....you are giving them the opportunity to listen to what you have to say, not the other way around. Remember that you are the one with the power, you have a business....they are still looking for one. You have more knowledge of the industry then they do, you are their leader. keep that in mind, and you will never fall apart on the phone again.
Hope that helps. Have a good Evening.

Before giving them a call, make a little video of yourself on something really general like leads & marketing or personal development. You will then be in the right frame of mind!

Re: Have you ever been terrified of calling your leads back?
Hi Giselle,
Since these are leads that are interested in what you have to offer, you have nothing to worry about. Having nerves is OK, but the only way through is to just pick up the phone and make the call.
When you call, remember that an important part of what you do is to ask them questions and find out where they are coming from, this will take the pressure off you, and yet serve as an important sales technique.
Ultimately, making these calls will eventually get quite comfortable for you. It is much like public speaking -- the first few times most of us have a tremendous amount of nerves about public speaking, and the only way to become comfortable with it is doing it.
So I think the only way to deal with this is to do. Once you start doing, it will eventually become the most natural thing in the world.
Keep us posted on your progress!

Re: Have you ever been terrified of calling your leads back?
My advice is to start drinking heavily!
But seriously, when you get that uneasy feeling, find a way to calm yourself down. That may mean you need a couple of drinks, or listen to a motivational tape, watch a movie that gets you pumped up, listen to your favorite dance music, what ever it takes to overcome the nerves. It's a natural feeling, the more you make the calls, the easier it will be. Think of the phone as a cash register, can't get money out if you don't open it.

That was a great line Lee.
I use to have this problem as well. However I began to think that I was the same as everyone I was talking to. We are all human. So why should I fear talking to my fellow human beings?
