"Having It All" by John Assaraf is well worth the time invested.


Reading this book was a pleasant surprise as it is my first exposure to the writings of John Assaraf. His style is very easy, smooth, across the kitchen table, and generous without hype.

"Having It All" is 217 pages long, broken down into three parts containing 12 well organized chapters. I found his information well balanced with personal insight, stories of other people's experiences, and grassroots knowledge. I particularly appreciated his personal background as a "street kid," proving to me he walks the talk in all areas. I'm sure this is why he is featured in "The Secret."

John plainly guides you through the process to determine and achieve your life's goals and dreams with some challenging and thought provoking exercises. As with any good book on personal development, you get out of it what you put into it.

"Having It All" starts out with authority in that Bob Proctor writes the Forward and has personal knowledge of John in his development of a long lasting successful lifestyle. i recommend this book to anyone on a journey of personal development who would like to relax and enjoy reading a good book while learning about yourself at the same time.

Great recommendation, I'll check that one out. I want to throw one out there too. I love The 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. There was tons of great insight in the book, but I really liked the idea of the "New Rich" and the importance of living and enjoying each day in your pursuits!

Thanks for the quick overview. Assaraf is a great leader, I utilized many of his teachings after I saw him in The Secret. Will add to my collection.
