B) Tell me what you personally think. A lot of people, the so called "MLM junkies", have more than 3 to 4 MLM or affiliate programs in their business portfolio.
Do you think that's a good thing, or do you think every distributor must focus on his/her primary program?
You may now post your ideas about the subject. Feel free to give useful comments for the benefit of everyone.

My opinion
You can have more than one business but not in the same industry because they will conflict with each other at one point or another.
It's like having two lovers, you just can't be true 100% to both BUT, you can have a friend that you love and appreciate and a partner that you're in love with an appreciate.
I have two businesses, one is in the mlm industry, the other is in the traditional brick and mortar industry - this is because I didn't have a JOB. Had I had a job, no, I wouldn't have kept it.
In the mlm industry, you can have a business that markets information products that in turn markets your business opportunity, that's also two businesses where one compliments the other.
Just my thoughts

Personally, I am turned off by those who have more than one business. My upline is like that - hence: he's not longer my upline. He kept shifting his energies from one business to another, based on which one was generating more money to him at the time, until he found a managerial position in a 3rd one.
I also think it's a matter of trust - which is what our whole business is based on. And if you're not committed to your business, how can you ask others to be?
I do believe that you need to have many streams of income, though. So I will agree with pcincome - that if you have one serious relationship that you're actively introducing people to, and other online affiliations, then I think you're good.
Finally, allow me to pose this question back to you - if someone approached you with a business, and you knew they were involved in at least 3 mlm companies - would you sign up with them?
;)

I don't think it would be something I would encourage in a new person, but for experienced people I don't see a problem at all. In fact from my perspective it's a good thing.
Understand that they should be complimentary services or products to each other but without conflict obviously. I think you have to be a super organised person to do this.
I don't really see it as 3 separate businesses, but rather 3 complimentary services, much the same way when I owned an SME consultancy, I offered a range of services or products to my clients as obviously different services appeal to different types of clients depending on their needs.
One man's meat is another man's poison, so to speak.
This happens all the time in 'bricks & mortar' business and whereas technically MLM may be three separate businesses, I think it would depend on the way it is presented to the prospect/customer.
I also think it depends on how you view your business. MLM is a real world business but a lot of people seem to have difficulty with this concept and don't believe it is as legitimate as a 'traditional' business - it is.....it's just a different business model.
If you conduct yourself in a business like fashion & take it as serious as you would any other business, I don't see the difficulty or comprimise with operating more than one, provided you can handle the workload.
For an experienced person it may come down to horizontal rather than vertical marketing.

In my experience its hard to have more than a couple at a time. Generally speaking the only reason you would need more than one is the one you're working is not really working out the way you want. ;)

I'm going to be straight forward on this one....NO!!!
The only other opportunity you should have is a lead generation and autoresponder link to generate a second source of income through your downline.
It's hard enough for the average joe that comes in to build one business, much less 3. Most people will become frustrated and quit because their checks from each company will be pennies.
If you're an affiliate marketer, that is a completely different story. You should have multiple items you are marketing, but that's a completely different type of income. That belongs on the Affiliate Source forum.
Happy Prospecting,

I think with MLM's; you can probably get away with having two MLM's. I have two right now and I am able to spend enough time on each one and achieve the results that I want. I cant handle more than 2 though.
So If you are a good juggler and think you can handle more than that; then more power to you! And good luck!

Hmm! Interesting points of view. What can I say, I disagree with the two previous posts.
I am neither talking about 'average Joe's', nor affiliate marketing. Someone starting more than one MLM with no experience would be dead in the water.
As I said, I don't see the difficulty with an experienced person doing it if they know what they are doing, are organised, can multi-task and have the time.
