Criticism From Friends and Family
I am having a real hard time dealing with criticsm from friends and family when descibing my business or what I do. I get responses saying i'm selling a "pyramid scheme", "scam", or "is that one of those pyramid tings?" These comments did not affect me at first because I shrugged them off and knew I was part of something great and it was really working for me and whoever I introduced to the opportunity, I am also motivated and never let other peoples' uneducated comments or suggestions keep me down. However, I have noticed my downline has had these same issues and I am running out of answers... Any suggestions?

Being a newbie myself, I have come across the same situation from some people. Don't let it bother you. Most people have never even looked at this type of business so they have no idea what a great business model it is. They are only negative because they don't understand or that is what they are suppose to say when someone introduces a network marketing business.
I just let them know that this is my new passion and if they don't want to be a part of it, it is OK. This is about helping people that understand and want to be a part of my company. Most of my family and friends trust my judgment, so they want to see me succeed first. It is really easy to say negative comments but when they see you excited, happy and successful, I bet they will be asking for details.
Keep working hard and you will succeed. There is no use in arguing with people that just want to see you fail so they can feel good about themselves.
Keep up the good work.

Be thankful your downline is getting a good shake. Do you have a strong Training & Motivation System to duplicate your business or are you the superhero?
Without a system you only "own a job" Jordan... I hope you know that from reading the Cashflow Quadrant.

Re: Criticism From Friends and Family
my downline has success because I do. Not the other way around. This is an objection that seems to show up more and more. I can see why it can immediately discourage a new person in the program when friends and family are putting their opportunity down. What it seems to come down to, is that these people are uneducated about our business and are redy to put it down at a moments notice.

Hi Jordan
To be honest mate, I never talk business to family. I did have a moment when one family said..
"So what you do..."
And I just replied what I do in shorter than 30 seconds flat. And he tried give me an opinion which I replied..
"You asked what I do and from what I recall, I didn't ask for your opinion about my business?"
"Yes, sorry about that."
"Cool, fine. I rather chat business with people in a business or in my line of business or someone serious, not gossip. When you're serious, then we talk but for now, I come here for a cuppa and chill."
After that, he didn't act that way.
But I don't chat about business, products to my family. Or even people in general. I let them come to me, and if genuine, no problem but if they act like a twat, I deal with it calmly and as a business owner. I didn't ask for their validation nor do I give them my opinion about their job either.
So they shouldn't with me.
And yes, Amway is big, mainstream now with their own massive shop in London.
Still, when it's family, just be confident, not harsh, but confident and speak nice and easy, and reply, "Joe, from what I recall, I didn't ask you for advise or info about my business. Did I?"
That's it. It stops them in track.

Re: Criticism From Friends and Family
Personally...
..I keep saying that network marketing is not a business is an income opportunity,
you gotta understand that people meaning families have a different mindset towards
businesses..and it's hard to believe that actually it's a business if they know you very
well..
"I found some products from a wholesale company and want you to try them..If they
like the product an income opportunity for them to earn some extra income can be
pretty tempting especially if they see that you are tryin it out"..
We make commissions from wholesale products by buying first without selling..That's
what makes it an income opportunity..You get both those that don't mind selling and
those that do not..Of course, its' gotta be products that people will buy every month..

Re: Criticism From Friends and Family
When I started my business family and friends thought I was crazy. But you can't let this get you down just have to keep moving forward.
Most people coming into this industry have a 9 to 5 job mentality, and don't understand entrepreneurship and if they're not willing to develop the correct mindset all the trainings, webnars etc in the world won't help at all.Sometimes you just have to let go.

Sometimes its the people that you the most, that make it the hardest on you! And its so true, its because they love you so much, they dont want you to fail, and most times when you present an MLM opportunity to them they auto-associate it with a "scam" or "pyramid scheme" etc. Its not that they dont have any faith in you personally, its just the horror stories that they have heard either by failed reps, or the media, news etc.
Take my advice and take EVERYTHING your family and friends say with a grain of salt. And remember man, they love you after all!
All the big boys thank you everyday for doing what you do! Robert Kiosawky (excuse spelling), Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, all doing pretty well right?
So next time your broke uncle who's sitting on the couch playing video games all day, drinking a 40, tells you what your doing is stupid, think about who your taking criticism from!
I hope this helped you! Stay positive and drive the same positivity through your downline and you will succeed.
See ya man! Make it a great day!

Jordan, bro, don't go there. Keep family out of your business for now.
To this day, after millions in sales I still have family that disses what I do.
They just don't get it. Remember they know you, or at least know what ever version of you they think they know.
You're also dealing with the herd mentality. The second you try to break away from the herd and do something to improve your life, you're going to scare the shit out of all of them and their first "survival mode" response is to diss you. It's just human nature, "fight or flight." This is the same with anyone, family or not. If you come uninvited and pitch someone on a business they all respond the same way for the most part.
It doesn't sound like you've got a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring yet. DO IT! And tell every one of your downline business builders to get a copy too. Make it your team's handbook. I also suggest Black Belt Recruiting. Everything you just mentioned is addressed in that course and how to deal with. Most importantly though, you'll learn how to avoid all of that in the first place.
To round it out and have the full spectrum training have everyone get a copy of Building on A Budget.
**Make sure you order first. Once you do you can use the affiliate links provided to promote the 3 courses to your downline and make a little cash. This is how it should be done; which is one of the main topics you'll learn in the course.
Feel free to email me for additional support whenever you need it: richardbravoonline [at] gmail dot com.
Cheers!
