Need help on deciding which opportunity is right for me...

Postby on Thu Nov 19, 2009 4:05 pm

Merry meet everyone!

I really need to find a way to make passive income for myself and MLM is a great way of doing it. I've joined a few opportunities before, but they didn't work out well for me. I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive to join (under $1000), no pills, potions, or juices, etc.

I've done the travel business thing before, but they didn't work well for me. I thought the web hosting fees were costing more than what I was bringing in for my business and found them too impersonal.

I have been considering Infinity 800 because I know a few people that have joined that and are making money.

I just want to make sure I find a good fit for me before making the plunge. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time :D

I'd recommend iLearningGlobal, it's an online learning company, so no products to distribute (or let pile up in your job). Access to the site is based on a monthly subscription, so you receive 2-10% residual income every month. Check it out for yourself at http://www.ilearningglobal.tv

Direct Message me if you're interested.

If you don't want an MLM that is product based, you should look into a company that is service based! One someone becomes your customer they are signing a contract for 1-3 years depending on the service! So you don't have to worry about customers buying product from month to month. When you have a company that is service based then you are not getting people to change their lifestyle, depending on the company the services offered are ones that the customer is already familiar with. You're not saying "hey, don't drink that drink if you want to be healthy...drink my drink or take my supplements" It's more like "are you about to get that service? well I have that service and with me you will be saving money!"

If you are interested in a service based MLM contact me for details!

First of all, WHY? (Keep the answer to yourself ;) )

Well, I'm afraid that's where the vast majority of the money is made in this industry. The top direct sales companies in 2008 in terms of revenue were...

1. Avon Products – $10.9 Billion
2. Amway – $8.2 Billion
3. Vorwerk & Co. – $3.15 Billion
4. Herbalife – $2.4 Billion
5. Mary Kay – $2.4 Billion
6. Primerica Financial Services – $2.3 Billion
7. Tupperware – $2.21 Billion
8. Forever Living Products – $2.1 Billion
9. Oriflame Cosmetics – $1.68 Billion
10. Natura Cosmeticos – $1.52 Billion
11. Nu Skin Enterprises – $1.23 Billion

Except for Primerica, Vorwerk and Tupperware, all of these companies sell lotions, potions, pills, juices, blah, blah that many distributors consider "below their image".

Unfortunately, services and technologies become obsolete and always come down in price and some companies have gone out of business because of that.

Lotions, potions and pills do not go obsolete and they maintain their value in the long term.

Good luck,

Wayne

Hey Emily,
I understand your pain! There are lots of different companies out there and some are better than others. I know I have been in several different ones. I wrote an article about things you should know before starting your home based business check it out here http://jaynealinternational.ws/before-you-start-a-work-from-home-business/ I also posted one here in BN. My company has a low start up with no product to stock or ship if you are interested let me know but read my article and let me know if it helps!

I have to agree 100% with Wayne. Most of the top companies deal with consumable products, products people buy month after month. So how do you choose which company to join? I think the most important fact is who you join with. Is your sponsor going to dedicate enough time with you for training, phone calls, helping you sponsor others etc. I believe there are 5 things you need to help you choose a company.
1. Has the company management ever built a downline of their own? Do they really know what it is like in the field.
2. Has the company passed the 2 year mark. 99% of new MLM companies fail within 1 year and another 90% of the remaining 1% will fail within the following year.
3. Does the company have products that people would buy if there were no business attached.
4. Does the compensation plan pay the part time person fairly. 95% of all MLM'rs are part time and if they cannot make any money they will drop like flies.
5. Does the company have a system in place that will work for you and your downline no matter how many generations deep they are. It's all about duplication.

Just some food for thought.

Hi Emily
Great question 1st let me say you need to find something your passionate about. If you truely enjoy something and have a passion for it that will go along way to your success. 2nd Write out your why Your why is why u want this passive income is it to pay bills spend more time with family, not have a boss. Only you know your why but it is very important to write it down. This way when you face a hard time you can refer back to your why. I Invite you to look at something Im doing it is only $27 to get started visit my site at http://2plus7.com/teamworkradio

Emily,

My suggestion to you is to evaluate yourself before joining any new program. You mentioned that you have been with a few companies before, what went wrong with those and what will you do differently this time to be successful? Remember just because some of your friends are successful in a particular business doesn't mean you will. Remember systems are duplicatable and not people. If I were you I would really put thought into this decision before jumping in. As for which company only you know what would be a good fit for you, do your due diligence before taking the plunge.

Emily,

Instead of trying to decide right now which opportunity is right for you, allow me to suggest another way to look at your situation. This would be an excellent time to invest some time and money in learning the correct way to market your MLM business once you choose one. In the long term it will cost you way less both in dollars and in frustration.

While it is important to choose the right company - if you learn how to market yourself using attraction marketing, you will be successful in any company you choose. I am not new to network marketing but I am just now learning how to market on the internet by using some excellent resources. I am currently using several but would like to share one that I just subsribed to recently that provides such excellent step-by-step content and value for the cost - I would highly recommend it.

Renegade Professional is a very recent joint effort by Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler. Start with educating yourself and the rest will follow.

Since I am just beginning myself, I don't have the fancy blog or capture pages yet, so I will just provide the following link which will take you to Renegade Professional. I am confident you won't be disappointed!

To your success!

Hi Emily,

Of course you're going to have a lot of people attempting to talk you into their opportunity with a post title like that. But before you jump on the first one with a slick looking comp plan and promises of riches, I'm suggest laying out what is important in your life. What do you want to ultimately accomplish with your opportunity (besides cash) and what you would feel great doing.

There are a TON of ways to make money, but you should be passionate about what you are going to be introducing people to if you're going to be successful.

Let me know if there is any way I can help you lay out what you want from your life.
