Are you building relationship with your leads
When people start a internet business they think WOW I can just sit here drive traffic to my site and ill make millions.
True this does happen! There are people who just go through my site and who buy my products without me doing a thing. Yahoo and Google are the only ones who do not need to pick up the phone and follow up. YOU ARE NOT BIG ENOUGH! YOU NEED TO FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!
I have a friends who opted into 100 MLM LEAD System Pro sites only 3 called him back. MLSP is just one of the great tools out there but people are no using the system. The money is in the follow up. The money is in the relationship.

Re: Are you building relationship with your leads
Being one-month new to online marketing, I'd still answer absolutely. Seems to me, no matter what the marketing (list building) method, it all comes down to one-on-one conversations, that is if you want to develop trust and loyalty with your leads. For now, I'm convinced the most crucial skill for a marketer is the ability to meet, or call, or skype someone they've never talked to beyond a capture page and build rapport. It's even more important than closing skills, because I never get that far if I haven't made a connection and gotten to know the person.
Still, just this week a person joined my team and I'd never heard of him let alone talked to him before. It's the exception for people such as myself who haven't established a strong brand for themselves.
You are so right when you say the money is in the relationship!
Appreciate your comments!
Yours,
Kevin Dumas

Absolutely! Using the internet does not mean you do not need to call. Another thing I do that works great is I add my leads that I generate online as friends on facebook and then interact with them there.

Great Idea AnnaLaura, I will have to start adding my leads to Facebook, MySpace etc as well.
No question, relationships are the blocks to creating a sturdy downline, or in easy terms, keeping your business team happy and productive. We all know people want to purchase, its WHOM they purchase from. I have heard of potential buyers opting in just from the relationship they built with the person offering the opportunity, sometimes it doesnt even matter what the opportunity is, its the relationship that they are "buying" into.
More importantly, the promise to continue the relationship and keeping that promise are what show the true integrity of the person building relationships. Phone calls, skype or IM's are important contact, just letting one know that you are there for them is very rewarding for both parties. Conversation is all it takes, you dont have to be an expert in anything, being yourself with a willingness to help others to achieve what their goals and dreams are comes through your dialogue. Genuineness is important, sincerity and empathy should be encouraged for a successful beginning to a rewarding relationship.
I've found this to be truly successful, both financially and personally. Letting your prospect know that you do care what and how they proceed, letting them know that its important to you that they find the right "fit" for them takes a lot of fear away for them.

I'm always fascinated by how much money we leave on the table by not properly using available tools. Not calling leads captured through a system like MLSP is like using a shoe to hammer in a nail when you know the hammer is in the tool box in the basement.
