A vet looking for help in the world of network marketing

Postby Victor Liesner on Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:43 am

Hello, Network marketing friends. I’m really finding it hard getting started creating a stream of income using the internet. I read evey day how network marketers enjoy helping people get started or advice on the right way of doing on line business. I'm reaching out looking for help I know the possibility is their but without a little help from someone to point me in the right direction I’m getting lost in the information overload as Mike Dillard has talked about. I’m a veteran of the war in the Middle East and now that I’m home safe I find myself unemployed at this time life is getting harder each and every day. I really want to get into network marketing but my budget is very low. I have a friend who can help me with a website, and even host it for me. I’ve opened a click bank account also, I’m really looking for something that I can earn quickly and have the funds sent to me by western union since I’m living in the Philippines at this time with my family. I guess I’ve become one of those hard luck cases sadly to say but I’m not giving up on the plan of making money online or one day having my own online business. I’ve done some blog posting but really I’m lost at where to start to get some funds coming in. Can anyone out there give me some direction or advice as to where to look?

First of all Victor,
I would like to say thank you! I have great respect for anyone that joins the military. I to am a veteran from Grenada and the first Desert Storm, as well as some other places. Now getting to your problems, what exactly are you wanting to do on line? There are lots of great opportunities out there but first you need to decide what you are interested in doing. There is MLM, e-commerce, affiliate products and more. On my blog I have some information about things you need to know before you start a home based business http://jaynealinternational.ws/before-you-start-a-work-from-home-business/.
It talks about doing your research and figuring out what fits you and what you want to do. You are on the right site for getting lots of great information. There are great leaders like Mike Dillard, Adam Taha, Richard Bravo and many others. Look back though the archives and I guess the first thing you should do is figure out exactly what it is you want to do on line then we have a starting point. Can’t really guide you if you say you want to take a trip, kind of need to know where you want to go the things you are interested in ect… If I can be of any help just let me know.

Victor,

Online Marketing is one of the hardest things because you have the whole world as competition. There are some ways to stand above the rest. The first and best thing that you are doing is getting your own site. A lot of people rely on the replicated site in order to push there sales and that isn't great because you blend in with the 1,000s of other people with the same sight. I would ad 2 things to the site your friend is doing, a free stat tracker (I use http://www.statcounter.com/) and I would also invest in an auto responder. Capturing the visitors information will allow you to stay in contact with the prospects (there is constant contact and aweber, both are simple to use).

After you have your site set up, try to write around 10 articles about your business and post them all over the internet (starting here of course :D ). This is a great free way to drive traffic to your site.

Payed advertisement is expensive but you can look into sending out email campaigns. There are companies that have targeted opt in lists, it costs some money but it is worth the traffic and really worth it if you have a place for a user to request more information (I set my site up so people that visit my site have to sign up before they get to any of the details and then I send them emails and updates http://www.truevoiparty.com)

This is just some practical advice. Hopefully you are involved in a great MLM that you can stand behind and enjoy being involved. Set yourself up to be a leader, plan on training your downline and the people will come.

If you have any questions just PM me. I hope I was able to help you in some way.
