Recruiting or Relationship Building...Which Works Better
I have heard pro's and cons on both types of sponsoring. Recruiting can get you fast money flow but what does it do for retention rate? Relationship building is a lot slower but does it build a stronger foundation allowing for a higher retention rate? Which one is working best for you? Are you a Tortoise or a Hare?

One of my favorite sayings! "you know the tortoise won the race right?!?" I think it just all depends on the person, their goals and their mindset. Anyone who wants real wealth and freedom in this industry is going to build relationships and qualify people before they join their team. This is the method to use if you want sustainable growth. Quality over quantity.
If you're chasing the money then you are going to sponsor any and everybody to get the quick bonuses in your company, but like you said their organization will crumble, because they didn't sponsor qualified people. Quantity over quality.
Tired of hearing "is that one of those pyramid things?!?" Overcome the BIGGEST objection about network marketing with Brilliant Compensation Online & have prospects begging you to tell them what company you're in!

Aye, same as Aesha..
Relationship.
You don't need many to build a huge organisation. The few will find the many. Focus I feel on quality, the few. Take time to know the person, see their leadership.
I find the more time I take, qualifying, the richer the relationship and stronger the team.
I'm upfront though from day one so that way, we don't waste time.
You can still meet a lot of people though and have fun, and build relationships.

I agree with the relationship building process. Recruiters can lose sight of relationship building and focus more on building numbers. Works well for some but not for the majority in my opinion.

In MLM, slow IS fast.
Here's what I mean.
If you take the time to create relationships with the people you sponsor, some will go to work.
And that's when "geometric progression" takes off.
1 = 5 = 25 = 200 = 1,000 etc...
Once geometric progression takes hold, things start going very fast.
But if you never took the time to get "the one" started right, you'll never experience that fast
geometric progression.
So in traditional MLM you have to have patience in the short term. In the long run it will pay
off in big dividends.
I'm living proof of that.

Personally yeah but...
..remember that we have to make it simple to be dublicatable and to me the relationship
starts..after, but to offer something that my prospect have to do because that's what I
am doing if and only if building relationship first no sale..Of course, I am talkin about people
in lower levels..in other words they want to eat, pay bils, etc..first..The retention rate
either way has to be earning money because that's why they join in the first place..
But hey!..that's just me and that's my experience..
It works for some folks though..
To me relationsship is like a blind date in the internet..even though we might see pictures of
them they see our picture is still not the same..No personality..
She walks personality, talks personality, charms, personality, lala da di..

People will enroll with those they know, like and trust. Build that relationship with a person, and the "recruiting" comes naturally.
One thing I find that is so ridiculous is that the relationship building ceases at SIGN UP. I get to know my reps, I spend time with them, genuinely care about them and their family and their dreams, go visit them at company events. It's key to stay in touch with them after they enroll as well. That will drastically reduce your attrition.

Quality is ALWAYS better then quantity. Whats best....finding 10 superstars...or 1000 people who can barely spell marketing?
When you learn quality over quantity lesson - you will save time, money, and energy
