This perhaps goes on tech topics, but I'm just curious. I've got about a $500/month ad budget for my business and was thinking on spending at least part of it on FB PPC.
Be interested to know who has done it, best practices, results, etc.
Thanks!

Re: PPC on Facebook
Facebook PPC is anticipated to be the best way to market a business in 2011. Be careful using capital letters in your advertisements as most of them will be disapproved if you do. Additionally, only use a fraction of the amount of money they suggest you spend per click. You can read the article I posted about under the listed content on my page. Feel free to give it a thumbs up if you receive value from it

Re: PPC on Facebook
Hello my friend, My very first month with facebook PPC I spent just $300 a month for that month and generate well over 25+ leads a day, As of right now I'm still paying as little as 7 cents for some keywords, My point is Facebook PPC well help you out big time if you know what your doing.
I did a little bit of CPM and getting leads for as little as 1 cent, I will say give it a go my friend but be sure your ad picture stands out and do not use a pic of you
I will say a pic of a nice looking women those convert like crazy :0)

Richard_Kaulfers wrote:Quick Tips,
Read the rules on facebook about advertising with them.
Do not take them off of facebook, keep the landing page on facebook.
Have your funnel laid out before you start the campaigns.
Be 100% honest and do not offer anything you can not backup.
Do not run CPM because you will not be able to track real results. Unless you just want to "Brand" an image. Use CPC for selling. (Don't try to game the system).
Never listen to anyone who claims they are getting .10, .5 cent leads. If those "leads" never turn to sales then it's costing way more then that amount and you don't hear people talking about how many conversions they have, do you?
Study your target market, use their words, and feelings in the ad copy. Talk like them not to them.
Most importantly read the rules on FB. If your going to target outside the USA be sure to research those locations first.John Brady wrote:This perhaps goes on tech topics, but I'm just curious. Richard has a great point, any real marketer know that all your leads you get from PPC don't turns into sales on the front end but if you get the leads that what count so if you get it for 1 cent, 5 cent, or 10 yes some may not convert on the front end, and If you want here about conversions just ask
John you have some great training here my friend, take action with the facebook PPC and Also facebook say don't take your lead out of facebook but I done and it works but it works better when leaving them in facebook, you don't got to when just starting off my friend

Re: PPC on Facebook
My experience with PPC has not been very good. I may spend $300 to post an ad. The problem is that how many of those clicks actually turn into sales which equals dollars to match what has been spent.
So far, I have received several clicks to my ads with the costs mounting up monthly without any resulting into a sale.
From my past experience, it was not worth the expense of having PPC with little to no responses that ultimately resulted in sales.
I do not wish to advertise on Facebook, then all my friends will have a turn off when they find out what I am doing with my friends list.
What I have done is as each friend is added to my list, I contact them and explain that I write articles to inspire them to live healthier lives. They can follow along and join the discussions and later go to my website for more information.

I think Facebook PPC is one of the most effective marketing strategies IF you know what you are doing. It's definitely A LOT easier to pick up then Google Adwords or any other PPC in my opinion. The advertising platform is just simpler and easier to learn and the targeting capabilities are pretty awesome!
I'm not really gonna talk about CPC or even CTR's so much... Just plain results. I'd say that about 1,000 of my fans (close to 1300 at the moment) are from Facebook advertising, I've signed up 25 members into the marketing system I use, one person into my primary company that has lead to a whole team in Canada growing and is actually my best producing leg at the moment.
I've gone through at least 4 courses on it and probably have only spent a total of $2500 for 8163 clicks for an average of .31 cents a click (even with LOTS of mistakes in the beginning.)
I'd say the whole key to Facebook PPC is to make sure you have very targeted campaigns and that you have a very good funnel so that you can monetize those leads.
Best of luck,

Re: PPC on Facebook
Hi Jon,
As with any marketing funnel, it's all about an effective ad and a converting landing page that will make your marketing budget work for you. I received a lot of phone calls from prospects just because they told me they were attracted to my ad!!
I agree, that directing Facebook ads to Facebook landing pages is the best way to get leads.
And I also like marketing on Facebook because you can establish instant rapport with a prospect because they'll see you're a real person. This happened better for me when I sent prospects to my name rather than my business name (I have two fan pages, and my personal one is a lot more productive)
Lastly, if you are allocating under $500/month to FB PPC, I might suggest targeting one or two affinities, and building 20 ads for each campaign. If the CTR drops below 25% of the original CTR, or if the CTR is under .050%, kill the ad. Shoot for a CTR above .100%
Here is a popular video I made on how I create my ads: http://www.facebook.com/ConnectWithCrys ... 7146470109
Hope this helps! I love Facebook!

With the lower cost of the advertising and the fact that you can narrow your advertising to age, sex, hobbies, marital status and personal interest like movies and music, you have the advantage and the opportunity to create massive success with your ads than anywhere else online.
