Hi everyone & Happy Holidays.
I'd like to create a wordpress website (like one Mike Dillard used when he launched EVG) that I may use to upload an info video, short text and opt-in form. Can somebody tell me how do I go about doing that?
I've seen a few Marketers online using this method as part of their product launch strategy and this would work wonders for an online service I'm looking to launch.
Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
Thanx in advance...
Stevidore

Re: Creating a wordpress website
Search Google or any of the other major search engines for "wordpress tutorial" and you will find a ton of free, step-by-step information. Pretty basic stuff to set up a blog. Not so basic to upload videos, brand, promote and get the site to rank well on the search engines for content important to your target market.

Hi Stevidore,
I agree with Rob about looking for information. Whenever I'm stuck with wordpress I type in my question on google to get information on fixes.
A couple of plug ins I like are Embedly which lets you embed many different types of videos directly into your posts, and the Fast Secure Contact Form which you can install quite easily.
Good luck,
Deb

Hi Stevidore,
I'm using Optimize Press for some of my squeeze pages and blogs. Its a great worpdress theme that can handle everything from a blog, squeeze pages, sales letters etc..
It has many great design layouts and it uses some high converting graphics for you to customize. It also comes with great training and support and walks you by the hand to understand how to use the theme.
Its almost as easy as drag and drop whatever you want on your pages.
It would cost you about $97 for your own use on your own domain.
I would say its worth the money since you won't have to hire a designer to make one template for you. OP already comes with multiple styles and functions.
I have some sites that I've made using the OP theme. Send me a PM and I'll send you my site links to check out.

Hi Stevidore,
First, you need a reliable hosting service with fantastico support to effortlessly install Wordpress. Then you would need some good free plugins to upload and manage your video content and also create opt-in forms. You should be able to create a good foundation website today which you should be able to scale up seamlessly tomorrow. If you need step-by step DIY instructions, I would be glad to help you out. Just shoot a mail to sarathkumar@powernetworker.net
Wish you the very best,
