Help from a veteran needed, PLease

Postby barbara herndon herndon on Fri Jan 21, 2011 10:03 am

Hello - I am wondering if anyone could give me an idea for an enticing offer for an opt in form.

I am a newbie and don't have much experience. My blog will be set up in a couple weeks.

What could I offer my prospects to join my list?

Thank you so much for your help and your time,
Barbara

What is your blog going to be about?

You want to entice the right people.

For example, I work for Lotto Magic, which is a huge lottery pool home business. To entice the "right" people, we sometimes do an entry in the next lottery drawing!

Hi Barbara,

This is the formula that I follow:

1) Determine your passion (blogging, social media, self development etc)
2) Find what people are actually searching for in your passion. They have a problem and they are trying to solve it
3) Discuss that problem in your offer and solve it, giving a lot value.
4) Compile your offer in an ebook, audio training or newsletter series.
5) Give an enticing title to your offer that will make them become your subscriber

Thank you for your help!

I am a mother of 4. I just got started so I don't have expertese in network marketing yet. So I feel as though I can not advertise as being a guru. However, I was thinking of targeting moms (like me) who I can totally relate to and understand. I was thinking about offering something like "5 tips to living your bliss"

Also on my blog offering value and enlightening in personal development, Parenting coaching. As well of course a work with me page.

Thoughts?

Thanks a bunch!

That sounds good....you are writing what you know about. I personally am not a mom, so it's foreign to me, but I know friends who are moms are always looking for a little "me-time" even if it's 5 minutes before the baby wakes up. So I think your "find your bliss" sounds like a great idea to "catch" the moms out there!

Other options...could be quick and easy recipes, games/crafts for kids (keep them busy while Mom get her "me time"), or coupons and bargains.

I hope this helps! Just some ideas that popped into my head!

Thank you Robin! I appreciate your help and affirmation!

By writing my blog about what I know and am passionate about..will that attract my target company to want to work with me in my network marketing company? Because I have seen other blogs that are network marketing gurus who offer "List building mastery tips"

I guess I am confused about how I will be able to show them my opportunity in my network marketing company (sendoutcards)by having my "mommy blog". But everyone who I am learning from says have a blog set around ME.

Thanks again Robin for your insight. This seems overwhelming in the begining!

In that case I would call your ebook: "Doing *insert your passion here* despite taking care of 4 kids" ;)

Hi Barbara,

Daniel gave you some great guidelines above to start. One thing I heard over and over from my peers when I started my blog was ..."Be yourself and be uniquely YOU."

So yes, your blog should be about YOU and what you are passionate about. Do you have a special skill? Maybe you like taking pictures (actually, I'm pretty sure as mom you do :) ), maybe you like to do scrap booking. Tie that into your business. Hint!

You have a great advantage being a young mom with kids at home. There are thousands out there who can relate to you. Moms who want to leave the rat race to be home with their children. Talk about your own experiences, desires, hopes, dreams.

People join people. Not companies.

Since your blog will be about your business. I would write blogs about that.

Do your research and study as much as you can about that particular field.

Become an expert.

blessings...
