Hey guys,

It's often said that you should write 300-500 words for your blog posts, but I'm of the opinion that the length of your blog posts doesn't really matter. How long should your blog posts be?

Mavis....any links should be just the one used in the signature. You are risking of getting banned from BN.

With regards to your question, I think it should be about 300-400 words...divided into short, concise paragraphs and bullet points for easy reading.

Well, I like reading a lot of posts and comments from people. I do prefer the short and to the point posts.
The shorts posts gets to the point and easy to read.
The long posts gives all the facts one may ask in a discussion. It does take more time reading this information.
You don't have to say a lot to get your point across.
The short posts leave something for others to comment.
The area in which we have space to write a comment to a post should be sufficient enough to write within.
People will read the shorter posts first and will be able to comment themselves to add to the discussion.
Now, I think I've said too much! And we can laugh together.

You see Mavis. Short posts are easier to read and more people get involved with the discussions even if they stuttered some. Any length will do to get a good discussion going and every body can contribute.

It all depends on what you are writing about,
if your copy is well written (Like a Story)

The reader does not care how long it is

Also if you are targeting a good SEO keyword,
the longer content the better

Google favors longer content than short

But I feel that we are not writing stories here. We are just posting a blog (writing our comments) to the discussions of the day.
If we are commenting on facts, it should be all inclusive and may be long. And it gets to the point.
Your ideas and comments don't have to be long and drawn out to be a story of your life's experiences.
