I have heard a lot of pro's and cons on this. I know there is a degree of posture that must be involved. But I have found that there are so many offers that people have the ability to get into, that it is murderous not to call. What do you say, how do you warm them so they know you care and you are there to help?
This forum could help a lot of people. What are your thoughts on this?

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
This is my biggest mistakes, not to call my leads.
Calling leads is still important because by calling people, you gain more trust from your prospects.
Remember that trust is acquire from other. People get to know you more by calling them your skype, oovoo, yahoo messenger, by mobile or whatever equipment you use.

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
Normally I don't call any leads. I give my information freely and refer them to the BN site or if time allows my website. There I have all the information for them to contact me when they are ready.
I do not wish to come across as needy. I do let the network attraction come to me. If anyone have any questions they can call me directly on my cell phone. They can leave a message if I am unable to call them right away. When I get a message, now I have the privilege to call my lead. I am being invited to call and they are expecting my call.
Most of the time phone numbers are not exchanged, but rather a website or facebook name to contact. A serious person would have one of these activated by now, or would have made the first move in going to the website and checking out the information.
If a lead at least have not done the preliminary part of checking out the information, then they are not ready for a phone call and would least be expecting a call.

Edison, the most important thing is to realize the mistake and take steps to correct it. I think at times people are afraid to call because they are concerned what to say. You know what, its okay, if you make it about them. And you are right you must gain their trust, and calling helps you to do that. You are competing with hundreds, thousands offering them something, be the one who takes the time.

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
Why not call your leads. If they give you their number they are
expecting a call. I be that 50% or more of all the leads that I
have called in my business life have actually thanked me for
calling and having a conversation with them.
Calling leads in a very daunting task at first. The heard gets pumping
the sweat starts coming and you feel like you about to pee your pants.
It's awesome.
Do YOURSELF a favor and do it.
If you need the practice go and spend like $30 on some generic leads and call every single one
of them. By the time that you get done cold calling some generic-don't-want-you-to-call leads
it will be refreshing for you to call your own leads.

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
Ask questions and then listen.
Call every lead. Everywhere. Anywhere. Then ask questions and listen. Then offer a solution IF you have it. Not every phone call is going to be a good prospect. Some you will not want to work with. Nice to meet, nice to chat to but not to work with.
Simplest, most productive thing you can do for your business.

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
When I first got into network marketing online I never called leads, but then I realized the power of combining the online methods and lead generation techniques with a phone call worked wonders. The prospects are actually surprised and happy you called, versus the amnesia syndrome.

Okay well I don't think I could have said it better. I have found that most of my leads are very happy to hear from me, and the ones who are not well, like Joyce said, maybe they are not a good match for you, no problem move on.

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
I found the response about offering them free information to be very well said. I am pursuing the same philosophy. After 15 years in the industry, it still was tough to really prequalify people over the phone. With our new system of developing a strong relationship before even attempting to do business together I'm seeing a much smoother transition.
Thanks

Re: Do You Call Your Leads?
I may not always call ALL of my leads, but....
I will ALWAYS call people who have purchased something from one of my affiliate links.
Whether it be from Magnetic Sponsoring, The 7 Figure Networker, or whatever.
Talking to someone who has purchased any amount of money,
even if it's only $1 is 1,000x better than someone who doesn't
So if you are going to call someone, make sure you call the people who spend money.
