Video marketing advice

Postby Chris Brown on Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:44 am

It does not matter who buys it matters what you are doing that causes people not to buy.

Many of us are using video marketing weather were providing tips, sales letters, or anything else.

Many video marketers are filming video in front a a white wall, sitting in their living room, etc... If you are teaching making money you need to show that you have a life style that people want if you notice my videos I film them from the beach, disneyland, in a private jet, etc... places in which people want to be.

Look at David Wood and the cool places he films his videos. The key is to film your videos that show people you have a life style that they want to have.

Hello Chris,

I'd tend to agree with you except for one thing, what if you are just starting off in your biz venture and you have not yet arrived at the "life style", what then? Should you, as they say, fake it till you make it?

In my opinion that's the problem now with many in IM/NWM, all this, "lifestyle B.S. When many of those marketer's ain't arrived and ain't got shit. And as a former BN used to say, they are posers.

I'm not taking any shots at you, ;) but I'd much rather have someone who is just starting, come from a position of hey I am just getting started, and watch their journey on the road to success, rather then trying to impress me with all the bling, bling b.s. yet they don't have a pot to piss in.

Even David woods had to start from the beginning, living from out of a van.

I agree, we all, in IM/NWM are in pursuit of the"life style" and if we don't give up due to the occassional failure's that are bound to come in our journey/quest to achieve the dream life style, we will eventually arrive.

But wouldn't it be great to have a starting point of where we once were, to share with the beginner, to encourage them, hey, I was once broke as a joke, but I did it. I achieved the life style, and so can you. If you don't give up.

Start where YOU are. If it's in a one room closet, clean it up and shoot that video. Then after you have made some money that will allow you to move on up, shoot another one, share your journey. Share your story along the way.

I venture it will be more believable.

And if you have arrived, hey share on and more power to you, you earned it. 8-)

Just my take. :)

I agree with you willie.

I rather deal with someone who is getting started that is Authentic
then deal with a poser. Even with some of david woods videos he doesn't
look like someone who is making a ton of money.

I've seen some of David Wood videos where he looked like a homeless hippee :)
(Shirt Off, Hair Wild, Not Shaved, Shorts Torn, No Shoes On)

David Wood is Authentic...I've been on his list forever and can't imagine
unsubscribing.

Yep I also tend to agree with Willie.
People tend to pick up on people at a deeper level and know when someone is just not authentic.
I live next to a beautiful beach, have a nice apartment, nice car, ect ect I do beach videos because this is were I live. However I dont lay around on a friends speed boat and pretend that its my own or pay hot babes to serve me cocktails on it not that thats not a great idea its just not congruent with who I am and people will know this.
I like to fish and forage for food not that I am starving but enjoy cooking from the wild sometimes I will shoot a vid doing these things that I enjoy doing people can see I enjoy these past time and this is the person I am.
To me this is branding just being the person you are people can relate to that and you gain trust. I have made some money online and will make more in the future I am new to this game but from what I can see theres so many people lost up their own backsides they canot see were they are going.
Its not so much they are dishonest they just buy into there own publicity. Be yourself.

Yes have an interesting background and vary it, but on the other hand make sure it is authentic. If you have not yet become that guru with the house in the tropics you obviously cannot film from there!

I agree. And lets not forget adding lots of good value and sharing your story in the midst of that.

People need to see that we are authentic and not try to be something we are not. I think that things become easier when one has the skills to go about prospecting in effective ways. In a recent blog post that I have, I highlighted an article from Tom, Big Al,Schreiter in which he talked about easy steps people can take to get more prospects. One thing he stated really stood out for me and that was this:

"Your prospect picks up your "intentions" with sophisticated programs in their subconscious minds. Texans have a way of describing this by saying: "Dogs know who to bite." People can smell insecurity, insincerity, and desperation".

I am sure this kind of thing can even come across in a video. People can check out the full blog post at http://moniques-home-based-business-tips.blogspot.com/ if they want to learn more about the 6 things Tom discusses.

I think the bottom line is to just be yourself. People will appreciate that.

I agree with Willie and the other people here. You have to keep it real.

David is making cool videos on the beach now, because he kept in the real when he was practically homeless, when he first started out.

There's no reason to fake anything.

I'd rather do business with a broker dreamer, who keeps it real, than someone who is faking it.

Just my two cents.

You do not have to make a lot of money to go beach, the park, nice places like this and film your videos. I am not talking about making lots of money if you saw my La Cruz, Mexico video I talked about how you could live like kings for less than $800 month.

Beach front property is only $150 a month that same property would be priced at least $2000 per month in the USA. Life style is not about making tons of money.

Even David Wood while homeless could of walked down to the beach, the park and filmed a video if he had a camera.

That's true but you have to be honest with people....its no different than the "fake it till you make it philosophy". If you don't have a beachfront property, then don't go and tell people you have one.
