I have a blog, I have been creating content consistently for about 8 months now with it. Some people create as much content as they can in a short period of time, and then they give up because nobody has purchased any of their products.

Building traffic is something that is done by doing consistent actions over time. The way I see it, traffic is like the residual income of blogging. You write one blog post and it will generate traffic for you indefinately. I create 1 blog post per week, and 1 youtube video per week. I will also write 1 ezine article per month. I think that as long as you are creating content, and promoting the content consistently over time you can gain a presence online.

I was looking at some of the search phrases people have used to find my blog, and one of them said "he who constantly reads". LOL! I don't know if that would happen today though, even google thinks I am a bookworm!

Coming up with content on a consistent basis can be difficult. One of the things I recommend is you buy a memo pad so you can jot down your thoughts on paper and then type up a piece of content on it later. That is how I keep on writing content consistently.

There are many tricks you can learn to get your blog noticed. Visiting forums and blogs linking back to your sites is useful. Sending articles to multiple directories is also beneficial.

being consistent will get you ranked and noticed. but blog everyday if possible, five the least per week, but takes time. remember its free residual traffic minus your backlinking services

I think you covered most things there Nathan, but an individual's blog out there in the WWW wilderness is VERY limited in getting traffic I think. Being part of a community, a blogging network gets you noticed a LOT easier I think : )

Yes that happens Jared, but WHO sticks with doing that? Not many. It is tedious work and NOT DUPLICATEABLE. A blog network with a powerful name gets you the visitors I think

Yes I agree with you Jacob. Just got to make it a habit of posting or updating something on your blog regularly to grab attention. Personally I prefer to be part of a blog network instead of trying to do it all on my own. Much MORE traffic
