I've been hearing alot of debate lately about Visalus having the best compensation plan in the Network Marketing/MLM Industry. I just want to know everyone else thoughts on this topic. Best pay plan is just a persons own point of view. Some may prefer binary vs matrix, ect..
All company pretty much pay around the same amount some pay plans are designed for new people to make the most money others are designed for the gurus to makes the most.

I all depends on what type of pay plan you are looking for.

What debate??? Not seen any thread on this board regarding Visalus

I would say HANDS DOWN 100% best comp plan! You get paid based on total volume, not just your personal enrollee's and they give you a "waiting room" so you can continue to enroll new promotors and place them under a leg of your current downline, to increase that downline's volume. It's genius! I've never seen anything like it! My Fiance is now making around 3K a month after just a few weeks (and some butt busting!).

Honestly I don't think you are going to get straight answers here. It's going to be very biased and anti Visalus too.

For someone to say it's the best comp plan means they have viewed every comp plan from every company in this industry.

This is an obvious post to generate leads for Visalus, but I thought I would take the time to reply anyway.

So the pros and cons of Visalus...

Visalus has taken what's known as the industries better, if not best, comp plan model, the "unilevel plan" and made it even better.

So what makes the Visalus comp plan so good...and why has Visalus continued to skyrocket in this down economy while virtually the entire industry has suffered?

It's simple, and all boils down to one very simple reason, they have a replacement product.

So what does that mean? Well most MLM's require us to buy a product or service that cost's us additional money each month, in this economy most people just don't have that luxury. I don't care how good the product is, even if it's health related, people will cancel their autoship to make sure their kids eat, they have electricity, and pay the mortgage.

So Visalus recognized this fact, and fortunately they had the perfect product, (a meal replacement shake) to capitalize on this current economic situation. Visalus was virtually bankrupt prior to implementing their recent pay plan and marketing strategies.

Their flagship product is a true replacement product, in order for it to work, you need to replace two meals per day (at least to start with) thus, you are saving the money you would normally be spending on those two meals. The fact of the matter is, unless you are an avid coupon clipper, you would be hard pressed to eat for what it cost to buy Visalus.

So what did Visalus do different?

First, most companies will tell you that you can get your product for free, but what does this really mean?
It generally means becoming a distributor, then doing enough business, to generate enough income, to make the purchase of your product a wash. So what did Visalus do different? Well they implemented their 3 for free program. As a customer, if you share Visalus with 3 people, and those same 3 people, buy an equal, or greater amount of product, you get yours free, as long as they continue to do so.

Second they used the proven Unilevel comp plan model. They then added the 60 day holding tank, which allows you to place a new member in any leg of your downline, after the most recent person added in that particular leg. This is huge for strategy and team building.

Finally, they put the car bonus very close to the beginning of the comp plan so more people could qualify for it. This has been a huge sales tool for Visalus and their reps. You will hear some naysayers comment on how many Visalus reps have had their cars repossessed, do to the fact they were to easy to get. Well I don't care if you are in an MLM, or have a day job, if you don't continue to perform, and stop making payments on your car, you will loose it. This has nothing to do with Visalus, and everything to do with personal responsibility and productiveness.

There are numerous other comp plans but the two major ones used in traditional MLM's are the Unilevel and the Binary. Visalus got it right using the Unilevel.

The only reason companies use binary comp plans is they make a ton of money off them thorough breakage. What is breakage? Well in a binary you build two legs, and your pay is dictated by your shortest leg. In general you only get paid on your short leg, and the equal value of your other. If you have a runaway leg as we call it in the industry, you loose all the money that leg generates until you balance. Some of the money you loose goes to your upline, but the rest breaks back to the company.

These companies know that %97 people fail in this industry, so they know the majority of commissions will break back to the company. This is why even with the negative stigma binary comp plans have, they are still used.

Nowdays there are hyhbrid binaries to try and ease this reality, but it all boils down to the same 97% failure rate, and the majority of the money breaking back to the company.

A perfect example of this is Organo Gold. They have a Binary Unilevel hybrid. Guess where the binary portion is? Yes at the beginning, only after you reach the upper end of the comp plan do you get to participate in the Unilevel portion. Again they no most will fail in the beginning so the majority of the money will break back to the company. As a side note, your encouraged to buy a bunch of product with Organo Gold as well, so if there was a vote for the worst comp plan, they might take the cake. They've combined the old school binary, with the old school garage full of product model, I thought we were past that...lol This is a case of a great product being overshadowed by the greed of a company wanting to make excessive money on the backs of it's promoters.

Finally Binaries kill the two most sought after components in network marketing; momentum and the heavy hitter.

The most powerful trait in any organization is momentum. Your typical binaries cap your business centers and require you to stop and rebuild. This is a momentum killer. The new hybrid models adress this in different ways but it still exists.

The heavy hitter. We all want one and that would serve you well right? Well if in a binary you only get paid the equivalent to you short leg. So unless you balance the runaway leg your heavy hitter is in, you will never see the value of having them. Guess who does...yes the company through breakage.

So back to Visalus, is there a con? Well the only con is they teach the typical marketing methods that 97% of people fail using. This isn't unique to Visalus, the whole industry does it.

Build a list, get them to a home or hotel meeting, get them on a 3 way call, and you will have financial freedom. You know the drill, and how many people find true life changing success...3%

So while I love the Visalus comp plan and their products, I don't subscribe to the industry standard way of promoting.

I use internet marketing where I combined old school, with the new school, blending the two is a much more enjoyable way for me to build. I no longer have to prospect, do home or hotel meetings, no 3 way calles, I generally only talk to someone after they've joined my business. Not that I don't want to talk to people, it's just the methods I use, I don't even know the people until after they've joined me. I then give them a call and welcome them aboard. This is much more enjoyable than prospecting or trying to drag people to a meeting.

Boy this went from a reply to an obvious ploy to generate Visalus leads, to a full blown rant...lol
