Hey all,

There are soooo many plugins out there for WordPress Blogs.

I would like to know which plugins are an absolute must for my blog and why?

Here are some I use.

Google XML site maps, used to help Google index your pages.
All in one SEO or Yoast SEO both make it easier to do some SEO task
TinyMCE Advanced , gives an advanced editor.
Pretty Links for masking affiliate links. Learning to use a php script is better. Just Google it.
I use Maxblogpress ping optimizer and Favicon, have to Google them and they require an email addy.
Sociable if you want social site links on your post.
A video player such as JW PLayer or a YouTube plugin for videos.

Keep in mind, the more plugins you use the slower your site will load.

Meta SEO Pack is a good one to ensure all of your pages have meta descriptions as well as keywords on.

Google Analytics if you want to get decent site stats on site.

You may also want to add Plus one button and a Facebook like button for basic Social Media integration.
