Postby Chris Brown on Thu Apr 19, 2012 9:40 am

Seth Godin has a book called Purple Cow which talks about you got get your message to stand out and be noticed. Most people in this industry have the same message in which people grow numb to.

You got to have a message that is different what do you do that gets your marketing message to stand out?

I agree that if we all sent out the same old tired message the audience will eventually start to filter out what they don't want to hear. Although there's also the school of abundance, where there's plenty to go around. You just need to get your message out there consistently and with your own personality and spin.

I try to make my message fit my target audience and by that I mean they type of people that I really want to work with. That I will enjoy doing business with and will eventually become great friends. So by not trying to be everything to everyone I can ensure that my messaged is not lost on the crowd.

In the end I do my qualifying of prospects by only trying to attract those that fit my required profile. This saves me time and effort by not having to sort through those that clearly don't fit my niche and style.

Thanks for that thought provoking question.
