You've started a business and you've come online to market your products.

The story begins:

Imagine if you will that there is a long street, businesses on both sides and everyone who owns the business is out on the street, on the sidewalk waving prospects over.

Some have got fancy props to entice the prospect (blogs, sales funnels, free education).

Every business owner has made a deal that if they get a prospect they will get paid to send them over to someone else to teach them x?y?z?.

So the prospect goes further down the street to the nice lady who will send them to someone else so they can get paid (commission) to teach z?y?z?.

Every business owner does it. "Come here, I'll get paid to send you to someone else to teach you ? and they'll get paid to send you to someone else to teach you ? and they'll get paid to send you somewhere else to teach you ?."

Your prospect is bounced from one store front to the next learning how to get prospects so the trail of commission monies earned builds as the cycle continues.

And never once are you invited INTO their store to buy their products and you join the group: set up your own store front so you can get paid to bounce your prospects away from your actual business.

AND EVERYONE IS DOING IT.


End of story.

But not the end of your story.

Are you standing in front of your business with free or funded proposals, professionally done webpages, capture pages, autoresponders building relationships, sending and selling tips and tools to get other people to join you on the sidewalk, in front of their own businesses, deviating people away from the real reason you are here, on the street, with prospects in front of you?

You've started or are in a business.

Sales and marketing are crucial (after choosing a desirable product, a reputable company etc.).

Are you standing in front of your business teaching other people how to set up and stand in front of their own business, making commissions off getting other people to set up and stand in front of their business so they can make commissions off of getting other people to set up and stand in front .................?

Sales are why you are in business. Making money off marketing is cool but it's not your business.

What are you doing? Are you focused on marketing to get other people to join you on the street or are you marketing to get people into your store to buy your products?
