I was hearing a recording and an MLM Leader Matt Mason was talking. He was sharing his experience with network marketing and giving a reason why he should step down. What I have gotten out most from what he said is that jumping from company to company thinking the grass is greener on the other side is not going to help anyone grow a successful business.
What I am saying only applies to people who are in a real network marketing company. What I mean is people not in scams that are out their. Companies that people really are succeeding in. Matt explains that when you are in a company and see people succeed than the answer most likely is you and not the company. However if no one is succeeding in a company than I guess it would be assumed that going do a different company would help.
Most of our problems in network marketing are not if the company is good or not but about us. We determine our success and failures. Also we must be careful not to work more than one company or what happened to Matt may happen to us all. He shares that because of his mistake that he realized that indirectly that both companies may end up battling each other. One company may use that Matt left this company because ours is better. Not a place to be in if you are a leader.
Work on ourselves and stay focused and in time we will succeed.

Thanks Jared for that insightful thought.
I always remember the saying that the grass is always greener on the other side. It has to be cut too!
If you plan your work, now work your plan.
No matter what you do, you are always developing yourself not your product.

That became one of my criterias when I was searching for a company. Are people (normal, everyday people) making money with the company. The second thing I did then was check out the comp plan (did it have the necessary plan in place that someone could make more than $10 a month with just one signup).
Why did those become my criteria? Because there are lots of companies that don't provide that AND I got burned big time. One comp plan I was involved with was a weekly pay out BUT that meant you and your team had to qualify every single week to get paid anything ! Another one I made more money the first month with 8 people than I did when I had 22 the second month. All legitimate comp plans still active today !
The grass is greener at times but only when you understand how your comp plan affects you and your team.

Re: Is the Grass Greener
This is a tough one to answer.
The grass may not be greener on the other side, however, you may not have exactly what you need right where you're at. Sometimes this means switching companies that resonates with you. It took me three companies to get there and by this third one was when I fully realized everything I needed was always within me. So the grass can be greener on the other side, but not always.
Our path to success is special to us and no one else. So however long it takes for you to get there is up to you.

What a great post.
Is the grass greener on the other side? Sometimes.
You could be in a great opportunity, but that doesn't mean there isn't something better out there. It also means there are many "worse" opportunities out there.
However, if you are happy with what you have, why look?
The "opportunity" itself is only a small part of the success equation anyway. Ultimately, your success is up to you, regardless of which company you belong to. You can succeed or fail in any company.
