How do you create value as a sponsor?

Postby Richard De Haven on Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:29 pm

As the saying goes people join you not the opportunity. I believe this to be true. So I ask,

How do you create value when sponsoring someone? What sets you apart from the average networker that would make someone want to join you?

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven

Hi Rich, show them that most network marketers are trained to go after family, friends etc and how doing this to build a team is totally wrong.. Show them how to get leads online where there are hundreds of people looking for a home business, they will see you as an expert and I'm sure they will be convinced that your way to build a team makes a whole lot of sense and they will begin to trust you and buy from you... anything else I can help you with just let me know

Hi Richard,
I just wanted to add that if you really want to help them, teach them to build relationships with their customers and clients. People follow people they connect with, people follow people that share the same ideas and beliefs. Take the time to build relationships with your team mates and then train them to do the same. It does not matter if you are building offline or online. Trust is universal. =D Hope this helped.

Interesting comment about going after family, friends, etc, I've recently interviewed a few successful MLM'ers who have built their business starting with friends, family, etc. I've interviewed a couple who have only used the cold market.

Why do you believe that to be totally wrong?

Not to say that it's wrong but most people will ask once get a no, then in time ask again and thats where people start getting upset with you, I say ask once and move on.. picture it this way, if you went after 100 people online who were more targeted wouldnt it make your job much easier. On top of that of the 100 online you might get 1 sign up, do you really have that many family members and close friends.

There are some very Interesting Points in this Thread & These are my Thoughts...

I try and help, at every angle, provide relevant information on all areas of the Business, Tips to Help, 3 ways where possible andn generally lead from the front by example. Sometimes it works, occassionally it doesn't!

But then that is just the nature of the beast, I guess!

Hope this is of help and Value to You!

In my opinion I would take the time to build relationships with my team mates for team work is the best way to succeed.building offline or online is no help. this way can make you know your team mates better and all of you will unite when doing the work.

I agree That Building Relationships is always good, I like to try and Identify Peoples Hot Spots as soon as possible on the Emotive Level, as Opposed to The 'I want to Earn Money Quickly Level"!

As a sponsor my whole and total job is to help them make money as easily and quickly as they want.

A business partner.

Am I aware of what's going on in their personal life? Of course.

Can I direct them to avenues to deal with those issues? Of course.

But that's not my job. My job is to be a business partner.

Business partners walk shoulder to shoulder as they work on a common goal: success, however that is defined by each person.

I like something Ray Higdon teaches when talking with a prospect and that is, he will ask them, "what got you to looking at a home business or wanting to make more money," sorry Ray if I didn't get it word for word.

As Dave mentioned, find the prospects needs/hot spot, then try to show them how our venture could possibly be a vehicle that could help them achieve their desired goal.

We as marketers present, as best as possible, our opportunity to interested parties and point out the benefits to them, it is then up to the prospect to join or not. Once they become a part of our team we are responsible to help get them started on a firm footing in building their business.

Hopefully we know where to send them for the best training for personal development and business building.

Also introduce them to a few upline and team members.

Our success depends on our helping them become successful.

And then it is up to the prospect, now business partner, to do their part, access the training, get on the team calls etc...To assure they are successful.
