For those people who are looking to get more traffic to their websites and don't have the time to learn copywriting skills, or maintain a blog or participate in forums like this, I would like to pose this question.
Do you or have you ever used Traffic Exchanges? Have they been effective for you at getting traffic to your site? AND most importantly, have YOU made any money using them?
I know there are a few popular Traffic Exchange sites out there. I have used a couple in the past, BUT I found them difficult and confusing to use most of the time.
What is your opinion?

Re: Traffic Exchanges. Do you use them?
I have used Several Traffic Exchanges In the Past, Traffic Swarm, Trafficg and others To Many to Mention.
The Results I had, have never been that great, Traffic Swarm Apart Which Got my Then Website Plenty Of Hits, but sadly No Sign Ups.
Since Then, I have used Other Methods of Generating Traffic, Namely Forums ( Such as here) and I do a Lot Of Article Writing, as its far easier and smarter than ( In My Experience, Anyway) Traffic Exchanges.
I hope thats of help to you.

Have used traffic exchanges before like TRAFFIC SWARM and they were in fact popular when you are on a limited budget. But with the advent of social media, not sure if they are still killin' it these days.

I have tried Traffic Swarm. I didn't like it. There are other sites out there. I was considering this idea because it is easy to duplicate and is, in most cases, free. And, as most of us know, duplication is the key to success in any business.

Re: Traffic Exchanges. Do you use them?
Hi, I used a traffic exchange a few days and got a lot of click throughs, but the bounce rate was high as I watched on Getclicky (they'd stay 10 seconds then split). I think the people were earning a few pennies for clicking through and I observed that they were from various parts of the globe.
My best source of revenue for any company or affiliate product, has been my own hosted blog with keywords optimized for how i think people will search. When someone is searching for what you offer and they find you, they stay on your pages much longer and are engaged because you have what they are looking for.
I also optimize and geocode localities of my distributors or representatives, to help bring them local traffic. Once I found that it worked to bring local traffic to me, I decided to do it for my downline. It helps a lot to bookmark through TribePro, get the Twitter links out on auto-pilot leading back to your blog pages, etc. I also work with a twitter team through Triberr - really cool people. But traffic exchanges... have never brought me quality, targeted leads.

I did in the past. Honestly I think they are just a waste of time that could be better spent having direct contact with people.

Re: Traffic Exchanges. Do you use them?
I have tried a few traffic exchange programs and was not thrilled with the results. Maybe they work for some people, but all I achieved was a high click thru rate. Since then I have determined that targeted marketing works much better than casting a misplaced net. I tested a few for over a year, and never acheived a single sign up or even an opt in. I rotated several capture pages both custom and canned versions from leading companies (yes, these pages worked just fine elsewhere). I could be dead wrong, but my belief is that some type of bot was being employed to make these hits. I also think these programs are really designed to fleece desperate (or lazy) people from their money. In the end, I determined that just talking to people at the gas pump yeilded far better results, and had the added bonus of being FREE!
I have also developed a method utilizing a $100.00 product and Google that keeps me well stocked with targeted leads and have been able to trash just about anything else I have looked into or tried.

I have to agree with Luanne. I know it takes a long time, but there really is no better tool than having your own blog/website updated daily with fresh, relevant content.
Sure, blogging daily can take up a lot of time (or you could hire someone), but in the long run, that's how you're going to build your personal presence online and allow prospective customers/partners to learn all about you...
