Is the 100% commission promise a lie?

Postby Joyce Penner on Thu Jul 26, 2012 8:29 am

In one word?

YES !

It's a lie. It makes great headlines but it's a twisted way to grab attention.

Before you get involved in anything grab a pencil and paper and ask yourself how, when and on who you get paid and work out the percentages. (Example: You get 100% on your first sign up but the 2nd person you enroll goes to your upline. So you have 2 people and your commission has just dropped to 50%, and work out the rest down the line)

Then make a decision whether you want to get involved (with the truth in your pocket) and not because you got sucked into a great headline promising the world.

Joyce
p.s. Want to maintain your integrity as well? Don't perpetuate the lie of 100% commission if integrity is important to you. Terrible thing to happen when you have people coming back to you, telling you, you lied to them and you did.

I never got involved with David Woods make 100% commission. It's a great to for him to generate a bunch of leads and build his brand.

The true way to build 100% commission is to make your own product. Which you should I don't think it should be another money making program but perhaps something related to your product.

If I may add to this....

I wrote down on paper as you stated and investigated Empower Networks commissions.
This is what I came up with.

Percentages of commissions
first enrollment................100%

second enrollment...............pass-up
(receive commission from downline on 2nd sale)

sum.............................50%
__________________________________________

third enrollment .............66%

fourth .........................pass-up
(receive commission from downline on 2nd sale)

sum.............................50%
________________________________________

5th...............................60%

6th...............................66%

7th...............................71%

8th...............................75%

9th...............................77%

10th.............................pass-up
(receive commission from downline on 2nd sale)

after 10 sales..................70% commissions
_____________________________________________

When your down line fills in ther 2nd sales,
you have 100% commissions on all 10 sales

Every 5th sale after the 1st 10 sales goes to your upline

I thought to be successfull in Network Marketing you had to have that bigger vision .

If you are only in the "I want it now mode" you are in for frustration.

Before calling anything a " load " or a " Lie "

Write it all down on paper and look deeper.

just my opinion.....hope I didn't offend anyone,

Thanks for writing this all out Oscar. It's exactly what I wanted people to do. Use your head before you make a decision. Then make that decision based on the truth rather than a misleading and erroneous headline and excellent copywriting skills. It didn't matter how I calculated it when I looked at the number of people vs the commission structure I couldn't see 100% anywhere.

LOL

The only people who examine OTHER companies to "expose" them are the ones
who aren't busy at work focusing on exposing (in a positive way) their own!

You won't see people at the top saying things like this in public forums.. Unless their politicians of course.

What is it that you are expecting to achieve by "exposing" someone else and attempting to cast them in a negative light? Believe me, you won't succeed at casting yourself in a positive one by doing this.. Unless of course you're a politician.

You DEFINITELY won't gain PAYING followers by this type of behavior.. Again, unless of course you're a politician.

But guess what, you are NOT a politician.

You are an ENTREPRENEUR claiming to be successful, claiming to have answers, claiming to have "what people need."

So focus on THAT.

Focus on INSPIRING people to take ACTION for their OWN lives.

You will not be able to help them do this if you are demonstrating that you are one who gossips about the lives of others.

Don't focus on breaking other companies down.

Focus on BUILDING your company UP!

I can assure you, you won't see David Wood sparking "negative" discussions about YOUR company in this forum.

But you would see him sparking POSITIVE discussions about his OWN.

If you have all the answers, show us.

As for me, Im going to continue showing the world that Empower Network DOES work, IS working, and will CONTINUE to work.

P.S. The 100% commissions' have been working out just fine for me.. Minus the nominal merchant processing fees of course.. Empower Network is the FIRST company I have seen since I was 14 (and Im 35 now) that ANYONE can do and make money with. Empower Network even helps you make money with your OWN company. There is a lot more to examine here besides the '100% commission' structure.

Hey Charles. Thanks for contributing.

You'll note what I focused on was education: Crunch the numbers and then if you still choose to do it at least you'll go into it knowing the truth.

The second point I made was the erroneous marketing of 100% commission is blatant misleading information or to call a spade a spade: a "lie".

I haven't examined Empower Network beyond the initial investigation I did which was to crunch the numbers. When I discovered the 'crunching" didn't match the "misleading 100% commission" claims, I dropped it. Doing due diligence which I recommend as you will note by my initial post, everyone should do.

I assure you Charles, I don't run around looking for companies to bash but it's hard to miss the headlines screaming "MAKE 100% COMMISSION" knowing people are going to go into it without someone advising them of the story behind the headlines.

So without knowing anything about me or my motivation behind this post, I appreciate your thoughts and I'm happy you're making money with EN. Many are not but I'm sure you're aware of that.

Cheers

Charles you took the words right outta my mouth (but there are more words in my mouth I could come out with but prefer not to for now, LOL ).

I think these sorts of threads are weak at best and lack leadership.

I am NOT in EN or have a desire to be but hell... I think Woods has done an amazing job on his career, far better than the nay sayers I have seen bagging the network.

I would rather sit and listen to his stuff than most others content. I take my hat off to him and only wish I could have half the business he has.

As soon as I saw this thread a few days ago I was wondering what type of response it got so I waited to see who would come and say it. Well done mate.

I hardly ever come here now because I find this forum to be of low value (I am not referring to all of BN here either which I think is great), but I happened to see this and immediately thought "what bullshit".

Hi Greg. It is bullshit, and it's sad that someone has to point out to people that "leaders" in our industry are encouraging/promoting/writing misleading advertising copy. Yet, it's bullshit when I encourage people to take a pen to paper and do some research and make an informed decision?

I owned a newspaper for many years and we, together with our advertisers, would have been in court and/or jail for less than this.

But online it's acceptable? And you wonder why people are skeptical?

I agree with you by the way, the concept is a brilliant idea, they saw a need and filled it - great job but does that mean you leave your integrity aside to leave your mark on the world?

I think not. People deserve and expect honesty and integrity from their leaders.

Wouldn't you agree, Greg?
