Time to Learn! Been thinking about this a lot, and I have a question.
I've got a personal blog that's growing nicely, talking about NM success, lifestyle, and training without pushing my opportunity.
But there are a ton of people that hear about our Companies and are searching Google for that keyword (or variation) specifically. They don't come through my personal blog, but are looking for the company name.
Now, I can make a site, fill it with content, and get ranked very well for Google searches.... but my visitors don't convert or get people to 'contact me' or join.
I'm asking for advice, and (preferablly) sample pages you might use and how they *should* be set up for those people in the world looking for a specific opportunity.
More content means google likes you better, but more confusing for users.
Hope that makes sense, and thanks in advance,
JP

Re: Best layout for SEO friendly opportunity pages?
What you would want to do is go after a keyword phrase like "Amway Review" for example. Someone who types this phrase into the search engine isn't an Amway rep because why would they be looking for an Amway Review if they were already in Amway? Usually someone who types in "Amway Review" is looking for more information about the company before making a decision to join or not. All you do is find a company you want to write a review about and then add the word "Review" on the end. Some marketers will go after phrases like "Amway Login", those don't usually convert as well because some one who types that into google is just looking for their associate backoffice. Most people who write MLM Reviews are usually promoting a marketing system like MLSP and are trying to convert those types of visitors into leads and eventually new team members.

Re: Best layout for SEO friendly opportunity pages?
Hey, thanks for the reply.
Oh, I get that. I have built sites and ranked very well doing just that, focusing on specific keyword(s)!
My question is more of this: Google loves *content*. More content = bigger site. Almost All mine are wordpress based sites, and I might get it ranked very well for "company opportunity", "company products", "Company review", etc. all on the same site. Lots of info.
Problem is, poor converting visitors to leads - people who are searching for information about this company, but not reaching out to me.
One thing I'm focusing on is the Layout of the site - and if anyone has advice, suggestions, or EXAMPLES I could use for inspiration that could help tremendously!
Thanks!

Re: Best layout for SEO friendly opportunity pages?
Jon,
Do you tell your visitor what you want to him or her to do?
Do you know what you want them to do?
That is critical.
Once you know the answers to those 2 questions, make sure you have calls to action to achieve your goals.
You must test to see what will work for you.
If you have google analytics you can see how people are using your site now.
A great testing tool is visual optimizer. They have a 30 free trial. You can do a spilt test and see how people use your site in its different designs.
If you send me your site address, I would be glad to give you some advice.
Good luck. If you increase your conversions, you don't have to increase your traffic to make more money.
