Online Marketing Does Not Replace Talking To People

Postby Lynda Cromar on Wed Aug 15, 2012 2:30 pm

Don't get me wrong I love Online Marketing. I get a lot of people that get started from my blog. But I believe my odds are greatly improved because I am not afraid to pick up the phone.

Don't come to online marketing as a weakness because you don't want to talk to people, but look at it as a tool that can greatly enhance your reach and ability to have people to talk to. And when you do get a lead, talk to them, you really will be glad you did!

Hi Lynda

I think so too. Working on the computer can get very lonely and it is good to hear a voice. Although I am very fortunate I am part of a community and someone is always online for a chat if needed.

After all, wasnt that what mobile phones were invented for so we have no excuse not to talk to people haha ;) .

After all of the online marketing business, I still enjoy talking to people. Finding that most of my target market does not have access to a computer, I have to go out and talk to people directly and find out what the target market wants.
Finding that warm market is only a gauge as to what the online customers are thinking. I am gaining experience in talking to real people face-to-face and getting their immediate reactions.
I not in a position to talk all the time, but I am available to listen!

That is a great point Mario! Whether we prefer to find people offline or online, we still have to talk to them. And there will be those who really don't get the online marketing space at all!

Exactly I see so much about automation, but that only works if you have also shown that you are real and they can get in touch with you. You also have to know who you are talking to, and their concerns.

I think this is very true. My husband has a site with which he generates leads for his offline business. The site sells the prospects by providing information and samples of what he does. He did a great job of selling himself on his site. His knowledge and expertise really shine through his content.

However, they're never really sold until he talks to them. Once they meet him, there is no question. The person is on board. In fact, by the time he gets them on the phone, they're on board.

But people want to be smart and do their due diligence. It takes the human interaction to close the sale.

That is a great point Lynda..Our main aim in building a business is to talk to as many people as we can on a daily basis and expose our business..Online Marketing should be viewed just as a ladder for us to do that better..
