I usually don't go this far in working with someone to get into business with, but this was an interesting case.
I recently had spoke with my friend Shannon about my business opportunity. She has been questioning me for about 2 weeks now. She has been on the calls, seen the opportunity and I believe she is just about ready to go for it. I recently wrote to her a short story that describes her situation.
The Mysterious Lake
A group of travelers were on a quest to find a great treasure. They had searched the valley high and low. It was near nightfall and it was time to rest. The next morning the group awoke and found themselves surrounded by a big mysterious lake. The lake was wide as a valley, no one knew how they got there or how they would get to the great treasure on the shore beyond the great lake. Days had passed. How would they cross such a thing. Finally the young man said "I am the best swimmer, I will try to cross it, I will train for days and get prepared."
7 days had gone by when the young man had decided it was time. "I am ready to go now, wish me luck!" He stepped forward into the lake. First the water was up to his feet, then his ankles, and then something strange happened. The water had not got any deeper. He kept walking and walking, but the water got no further than his ankles. "This is no lake at all, just a big puddle! We could have moved forward immediately but the risk appeared to great. All we had to do was go for it!" They all ran into the giant puddle in celebration. What they thought had been a big mystery was no mystery at all. It was their own fear of the unknown they had to conquer. They danced and celebrated all the way to the shore where the treasure was waiting for them all along.
My opportunity is like the lake in the story:
Wide, vast and unknown. You only have to take a step forward to see that it is not a lake at all, but a big puddle for all to play in! Walk across the water, and reach your goals on the other side.
She just signed up. And it took a big load off her mind. All she had to do was go for it. She put more pressure on herself to get "into" the program, than being "in" the program.
