Give your prospect the 'truth' guarantee.
Prospects are afraid to take risks. That's natural.
We attempt to soothe their fears by saying things such
as:
* 'Try our business. We have a 30-day money-
back guarantee.'
* 'Try our product or service. We have a 30-day
money-back guarantee.'
Did you ever notice that these guarantees seldom close
the prospect? The prospect feels embarrassed to take
advantage of a refund, so the prospect never makes the
initial commitment to try the product, service or
business opportunity.
You've noticed that, haven't you?
So why not try this? Give your prospect the 'truth'
guarantee. It will shock your prospect and create a
'fear of loss' motivation.
Say:
'I have one guarantee about our business. If
you don't try anything, you are guaranteed that
nothing will change. The commute time to your
job won't change. The limited time you have
with your family won't change. Your current
paycheck won't change.'

It is common sense and it is how we feel. I do not accept an offer on a guarantee because

Big Al is really good with simplifying NLP basically. I don't know if he actually realises he's using NLP or not because his biggest selling point is how SIMPLE his stuff is. I love that.
Here's just a little extra info for creating guarantees.
i found when writing guarantees you really have to make it much more than "or your money back". You have to really back it up. The first guarantee is that you show your prospect you really understand their frustration. That's by knowing little intimate tiny details about what bothers them because you went through them yourself. This is scientifically grounded with the "survival instinct". We believe someone who survived a problem we're going through can help us survive too. So we give our trust and hand our money over.
I love Eben's Pagan's approach. In any sales letter, email newsletter, or product launch--he starts out by thinking of your problem hard and your emotional fantasy. Most people have a fantasy about a "magic bullet" solution to their problem. He then creates the "magic bullet" and gives it to you right at the start.
If you've ever looked at the doubleyourdating website...right after you opt-in, he begins by teaching you the "kiss test". This is a simple method anyone can use immediately to check if the girl is ready to be kissed or not. Anyone who reads that, whether they buy or not, can go out and try it. You better believe that when they see it works, if they didn't buy the first time, they'll come back and buy. It's an instant result. That's a guarantee.
In his latest launch, he gives away enough information for anyone to go out and write an information product from scratch and earn INSTANT money. He does this for free and tells you right there in his video "pre-sales" letter that he hopes by applying this information he shares with you that you'll be able to make enough money to afford to go to his live training!
That's a guarantee.
I recently did a mini product "pre-launch launch" with Fernando. We had the usual money-back guarantee and got the usual response. Only after we added that little "extra" something did we get the response we wanted. The extra something was not that we'd give them their money back and let them keep the program....this is the usual stuff.
I said that if they didn't get the result we promised, I would give them an hour of my personal time and that in that hour I would apply the technique for them to prove that i walk the talk, and that what I'm teaching does work.
One last thing before i go. Yesterday I received an email promotion from a certain marketer. I'm against the idea of unfocused buying of information products right left and centre. They have to be in line with a topic you are specialising in. And this was about Adwords which I specialise in. So after skimming the email and seeing the benefit pretty much in the subject line...i clicked through. I very quickly SCANNED the letter and scrolled to the bottom. Here i saw the price $67 or so. Good. Then I did something very interesting which surprised even me...
With my finger hovering over the mouse ready to click the order button, i looked for their guarantee. Why? Because I thought there was a chance I already knew what was being revealed. I've never returned a product in my life but it comforted me to know that if it turned out to be repeated information i can return it. I didn't read the letter. When I saw they had a decent guarantee, I ordered immediately. The funny thing is, a few minutes before, I wasn't even planning to buy anything. And if the guarantee wasn't there, I wouldn't have bought it because I was sure I knew all there was to know about the topic.
Guarantees are one of the most important components of the sale.

In my company we are taught to under promise and over deliver in all areas of the business. It serves us very well in finding quality prospects and customers and retention of both.
A "Truth Guarantee" is the only way to go in this business, "IF" you're in it for the longterm and not just the quick buck.
I think the industry, company, products, and business are exciting enough without having to "embellish" or out right lie to get people involved.
On my teams Partnership Agreement that we all have to complete before you are accepted as an affiliate, there is a question that asks "describe yourself in three words." I found this question easy and responded with: Moral, Ethical, Honest. Yup! That's me to a fault.
A "Truth Guarantee" is the only way to go in this business, "IF" you're in it for the longterm and not just the quick buck.

Telling the truth is the only way to go. Truth is only 1% of the people you talk to will join your business. I am lookin forward to making that percentage a little higher with this new system.
